Why is everyone so surprised that Kimbo lost?

I don't really get it.  He stepped in on short notice against an experienced, UFC-level fighter, and got caught.

You can pick on Seth for being a goofball and such if you want, but the guy's got skills and has been in the cage before.

I'm not quite sure why there is such overwhelming shock and disbelief as to the result.

Am I missing something?

Guy out of his weight class, two hours notice, retired

I don't think anyone is surprised at all.

I didn't know anyone was...I've been expecting this for a long time...

VectorWegaLives -  Greatest upset of ALL TIMES.  Kimbo wins this fight 99,997 times out of 100,013 tries.

 you're smoking to much crack

lol i think everyone is just relieved and excited that what they knew needed to happen, happened. Not so much surprised

An experienced MMA fighter made his way into the cage opposite Kimbo after slipping in under the radar of the clueless guys running the show and waxed that ass. The surprise is that Shaw was actually dumb enough to let it happen.

To Shaw, and the rest of the mainstream puppets. I would like to say. Hello, and welcome to world of MMA mutherfuckers.

Being big and acting hard doesn't mean you can fight. Because you can fight doesn't mean you need to be big and act hard.

I'm not suprised he won, as soon as I heard it was Seth vs Kimbo I knew Kimbo would lose. But how can you call him a UFC-level fighter, he's 0-2 in the UFC?

Because he has fought at the UFC level, perhaps?

Honestly, I figured since everyone else throws around that terminology, it wouldn't be a problem.  I mean, after all, Brock Lesnar is a worthy contender for the UFC HW belt, and Kimbo Slice is the greatest fighter in the sport, so why not?

Worth repeating.

I wasn't surprised at all. Seth is a much better fighter than Ken in 2008.

It seems like the only people surprised are the announcers of Elite XC and the Ft. Lauderdale crowd.

GREATEST VICTORY IN THE HISTORY OF MMA!!!!

Which announcer screamed that?

If you weren't surprised at the outcome you're full of shit.Petruzelli looked like someone trying to keep away an attacking dog, scared shitless and confused.I'm happy for Seth but he won the lottery tonight.I wanted to see Kimbo have a war with Brett Rogers before he got his first loss.

Seth was obviously the more well-rounded fighter coming into this fight. I thought if he was going to KO Kimbo it would have been with a high kick.

its not like it was some technical war Seth beat him with a slap kick and a fucking jab in 15 seconds. Shrt notice or not he could have trained for 3 months and still lost that fight
