Why no complaints about Stun Gun's LnP?

Did almost no damage to Amir and really didn't try any submissions to speak of.

Why aren't people lumping him in with Rashad?

very true

Because in this case the TUF guy lost.

Herring In A Fur Coat -   The main event was several times more exciting than Kim - Sadollah and Escudero - Lauzon put together.

This isn't saying much, the whole event was very forgettable. Main event was terrible too

Taking Amir down with ease (how many takedowns did Rashad get for every attempt?), actually working to advance position, throwing some G&P, working at a fast pace for almost the whole fight, pretty sure he tried for a sub or two.

I guess i'll have to watch the fight again, but I remember thinking it was far more exciting than Rashad and Rampage.

japetto - Maybe no complaints because his win didn't set him up for a title bout?

Or maybe because he didn't talk a lot of trash before the fight?

Or maybe because he doesn't come across as cocky?

Or maybe because he has never showboated during a fight?

...

Oh so that's why people complain about GSP?

Umm...no.

I haven't seen it or I might have said the same thing.

I actually like Kim and enjoy watching grappling. But the entire fight was Amir replacing guard over and over.

In Rashad's fight he almost knocked Quentin down and Rampage almost knocked him out. Pretty exciting moments.

It's because Rashad sold everyone that he was going to stand and KO Rampage; not lean on him.

You do know that sometimes fighters say one thing and do another as a strategy right?

Yes but people have been complaining about GSP for employing wrestling strategies along with Rashad and not Dong Hyun Kim.

Hence the name of the thread.

Other than those two moments in the Rashad vs. Rampage fight, it was pretty boring, and I consider myself to be VERY tolerant of how the fighters decide to fight (you know, since it's them in the cage getting punches and whatnot thrown at them and not me).

At least in the Kim vs. Amir fight there was action (including Amir getting back to guard). We also got to see a lot of GREAT guard passes by Kim. I know Amir isn't Rampage (in terms of takedown defense), but those singles were very nice.

I lost count of how many times Rashad actually tried to take Rampage down compared to how many times he actually did. I think he actually took him down twice...maybe three times...the whole fight. Rampage got up pretty quick the first time.

I dunno...different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Neither was fight of the year, but I enjoyed Kim vs Amir a lot more.

There wasn't anyone faggy enough to step up and create a thread about it... until now
