Why no Super HeavyWeight in UFC?

I would like to see guy smy size fight and hell maybe even give it a go myself. I think the cutoff for heavyweight is a joke and leaves a lot of good fighters out of the mix. I weigh 420 but feel with the right trainer I could get down to 350 (I am very tall). The UFC is missing a huge fanbase of big guys who could relate to bigger athletes like myselt.

Because noone wants to see guys sucking wind and hugging after 40 seconds bro, sometimes watching the heavyweights is bad enough. If Tim Sylvia (when he cared), Brock Lesnar, Stefan Struve, and Bigfoot Silva can make 265- so can anyone worth being signed by the UFC.

Well that was rude

lol you are 420 pounds? yeah im sure you're super athletic.

I agree that there shouldn't be a cutoff for HW, but I disagree that any good fighters are being left out of the mix.

Idiotic argument, why should Bigfoot and Brock have to deplete themselves?  They would be better without the arbitrary 265 limit, boxing doesnt have a limit, MMA shouldnt either its absolutely ridiculous and like OP said, does actually stop some freak specimens from fighting at their best or even fighting at all in the UFC.

The shitty limit effectively ruined Hunt's title shot as instead of getting any actual training in he had to do a last minute weight cut, total nonsense.

Im tall (6'2") and carry the weight well

Not enough guys that size to make the division.

There are plenty of huge guys like that who are athletic as well- if there weren't, the NFL would have no offensive or defensive lineman. But guys that size usually opt for football. More $$$. Phone Post 3.0

LOL I missed the part about the OP being 420 pounds. If I had seen it I would not have bothered posting on this thread.

You claim I made an idiotic argument, then didn't post a single example of a "freak specimen" fighter missing out on fighting in the UFC because of the weight limit. Brock and Bigfoot would be better without cutting? LOL. Brock and Bigfoot have not lost a single fight because of lack of cardio, strength, or anything resembling being an effect of a weight cut. They also never whined about "depleting" themselves like you just did on their behalf.

Mark Hunt "ruined" Mark Hunt's title shot- guy is 5'10" and shouldn't be walking over 300 pounds between fights. Be mad at him, not the weight limit.

Luncha vs. Sylvia for the inaugural title.

LOL, Please post a pic of you carrying 420 lbs on your 6'2" frame well.

Honestly, I must see this.

420 pounds, tall and carries the weight well means somewhere around 8 feet tall.

Lol@6'2. Phone Post 3.0
