why is serra such a heavy favorite over curran?

because jeff had to work to get up to 155 if he even weighs that,he's always been ~145. serra is a natural 180 guy, so he'll cut down to make weight the day B4, & spend the remaining time gaining everythig he can back. he'll prob'ly be 165-170 day of the event. & that make a huge difference when talent is equal....

A good fighter? Proper time to train? Actual 155 pound fighter? A more recognizable name in MMA with the people developing the lines?

You're welcome. Add in it's the UFC debut for Curran, while Serra is a veteran.

for those in the know, it's because he's a much heavier fighter and Curran took the fight at virtually the last minute.

for most people, it's because they recognize the name "Matt Serra" and don't recognize Curran
