Lol and to think Woodley said the other day he is the best Welterweight of all time.
Would love to see Woodley and gsp fight though
Fan of both (especially GSP) but I think GSP will take it now, as well as he would’ve back then.
Dude is just cut from a difffent cloth.

Should you give credit to YouTube and all the other sites you get pictures from every time you make a post?
Exactly. Who gives a shit, stfu CRE
How is this even a discussion?
MMA fans are the most fickle bunch of short memory morans in the world
The Lion King -Wow, I didn't realize how many world champions GSP has beaten.
Def a good stat, but Woodley hasn’t had the luxury of the LW champions coming up to fight him. Also the fact that he came not long after GSP, there aren’t any champs for him to beat. He beat Lawler, Condit, signed to fight Hendricks but JH got pulled, GSP won’t fight him, and he offered to go up and fight Bisping but UFC said no. If the Ufc would match him up against Pettis, Benson, and Alvarez he’d have more on his resume too.
So that stat is misleading imo
Also in GSP’s 7 champions beat, he’s also been finished by 2 of those guys in the 1st round.
GSP still WW goat though based on title defenses

Only 1 LW came up. Penn. The rest dropped later. Fighters fought at closer to their actual weight classes a decade ago.

Still fighting LW’s.
That stat looks better than it is. Out of the 7 fighters, BJ is a LW/FW, Sherk is a LW, Serra was a LW who finished him, and 99.9% of the population feels he lost to Hendricks. Other wins were very legit though, imo.
Point being, Lawler, Till, Wonderboy, Maia, won’t be fighting at LW anytime soon. In fact most will be at or have found success at MW.

I already knew about GSP beating 7 UFC champs. I was referring to his wins over champs from other orgs including Strikeforce, WEC, Bellator, etc. It looks like his record totals about 17-2 over champs. I don’t think anyone else has even come close to having 17 wins over MMA champs.
Obviously not a bullet proof stat seeing as guys like Thiago Alves and Josh Koscheck (who never won MMA championships) are much more impressive wins than Jay Hieron or Thomas Denny. But still an impressive stat.

Agreed on your last paragraph. GSP is the WW goat because of his UFC run, number of defenses, strength of opponents in defenses, and his domination in nearly every fight.
However if Woodley defends 5-6 more times it will certainly be interesting to revisit the conversation.
