I saw on Twitter that Eddie Bravo was arrested in the UK possibly over something small like a passport or visa issue? I know he was in the UK doing seminars. Does anybody know what happened?
Just didn't have the correct working visa by the look of it
Bit daft but nothing serious
Publicising a uk seminar tour and turning up with a tourist visa not a working visa is a bit silly. One Google search by immigration and your gone!!
I'll be first to tell the truth about this, because it looks like no one else will...
It isn't a minor "paperwork issue" or anything of the sort. My friend at U.S. Customs told me he was caught, red-handed, smuggling old Catchwrestling moves out of the country. Apparently he has been doing it for years; coming to the UK learning Catch-as-Catch-Can moves, ingeniously re-naming them with American slang and then importing them to the U.S. where a well organized affiliate network has been distributing them to a network of customers.
It was the perfect crime... until he got caught.
: ) butthole
Tourist visa and telling customs he's doing seminars, i.e. working.
UK customs/immigration are seemingly pretty tough. Me and the GF were there on vacation last week and the customs agent gave us a really hard time because we couldn't produce proof of round-trip airfare.
If he flew there as a tourist with no work visa and then told the customs agent he was going to do seminars, he kind of screwed himself.
Same thing happened with Galvao a few years back
