ur flop bet prob was small, even though u hit it, i always assumed a 3/4 pot bet was a std size bet, the raise was strange, so u could have reraised him. the turn bet was also small. probably should have put him allin on the turn when he raised u
You got sucked out on and he played it bad but I dislike your flop play. You should've bet more initially on the flop so you can reraise all in on the flop, your straight is vulnerable and you're out of position. If he doesnt have a hand then, he folds and you win a small pot, otherwise he pays too much to suck out on you and you win.
You have to realize that your opponent needs a great hand that is lesser than yours to win a huge pot from anyone but a donk. Like if he had 67, two pair, a set, or an overpair with a gut shot he'll put it in and you have the best of it.
In regards to my flop play, sometimes when Im playing against aggressive players and I'm out of position (with a great hand) I like to bet weak and let them go over the top. Sometimes it works and others times not, but I seem to get good results with it so far.
Just later that night I had JJ and limped to a very aggressive player. He had been picking up a lot of pots raising 5 or 6 times the BB. Anyways, I flopped top set and he kept betting at me on the flop and turn. I crushed him on that hand.
