Wife induced tomorrow morning

Update: I'm the proud father of a beautiful little girl. She's a itty-bitty little thing. 6lbs 8ozs 18.5 long.
We named her Delia Jean. I never realized you could love something so much.
She's truly amazing!

All will be beautiful, congrats Phone Post

Congrats.  Get in some sleep while you can at the hospital.  Once the kid is out, sleep will be a thing of the past.

SMOKING MANHOLE - So we report to the hospital tonight at 9 and the wife will be getting induced tomorrow morning.

Her due date was Monday.

I'm a combination of scared, excited, nervous and just about everything else.

Question is, what the hell do I do with my time tonight? She's going to be passed out in a bed and I'm going to have to sleep in a recliner.

I'm taking my computer, phone, pad and paper and a book.

Any other ideas?

Don't know what the sex is by the way. Phone Post

Well, when a man loves a woman, he puts his penis inside her and busts his nut. That's what the sex is Phone Post

Thanks TGA! Phone Post

I would advise you to rest with her. I'll give you my experience. We went to the hospital in the evening and they gave her the first of two drugs to induce labor (don't remember what it's called) this was supposed to prepare her for the second drug that actually induces. The first drug sent her into full on labor. She was up and miserable most of the night. I'm not trying to add to your anxiety just advising that you get some rest. The next 48 hours will be the most magical yet terrifying part of your life so far. We had a healthy boy about noon the next day. Enjoy being a father!! When that little guy/girl calls you dada in a few months it will be an experience you'll remember forever. Enjoy your new family OP!!!! Phone Post 3.0

I went to Vegas over the weekend for a bachelor party.  This is the first time I've been out in about 4 years and first time I've been away from my 2.5 year old boy and 15 month year old girl.

My lil girl ran to me and soon as I entered the door and kept saying baba and gave me 17 consecutive kisses.  Greatest feeling in the world :)

Awesome!

I can't remember the first drug but they'll give that to her tonight and the second one is pitocin Phone Post

Congrats and it will all be fine don't worry to much.

Thanks for all the encouraging words.
I know it's only natural to be a nervous wreck.

Once the baby is here I'll ttt the thread and fill you guys in on the news.

I know their are several of us expecting right now. Phone Post

If you're really nervous tell the nicest nurse or doctor that you're starting to freak out a little, they may be able to hook you up with something. It's probably not necessary though. You would certainly know of any major potential issues already and the OB doctors do this stuff all day everyday. Plus once its go time, everything is a blur!! Phone Post 3.0

Relax, you did your part 9 months ago. Tomorrow is holding hands and saying, you're awesome honey.

After she does the work, kiss her then love your kid Phone Post 3.0

The mans part is natural, respond when mom ask. After 4 months mom and dad roles begin.

Yes,3-4 months is about her/kid. Phone Post 3.0

Lol. Thanks boss but I ttt'd the thread to update you all. Is it not showing up?

From the time of the first push till my daughter was born was 15 minutes. It happened so fast. Phone Post

Don't listen to everyone trying to freak you out and saying you won't get any sleep for the near future. My little girl was born March 1st, and March 22nd was the last time me or my fiance woke up during the night. Don't be a ball of stress and your kid will reflect your demeanor. And never wake up a sleeping baby no matter the bs everyone tells you about feeding every 2 hours. Good luck and congrats!!

Grats sir!! Our 1st is due in december- cant wait!!

Thanks man.

It's the most amazing thing ever.
I cut the umbilical cord, they cleaned her up real quick and then they gave her to me to hold. She was crying as you would expect, but once she was in my arms we locked eyes and the emotions reversed instantly. Phone Post

Awesome dude! It's an amazing ride. I have an 8 year old daughter. Enjoy every minute, it goes by so fast.
