In Advance, I apologize for it being FRAT as hell...
Well, me being stupid, scheduled a fight on my graduation day. So after a miserable week of weight cutting through all the High School Graduation festivities, Saturday was finally here. Well amateur weigh ins in North Carolina are usually around 12 well I had to weigh in at 5 during the fighter meeting so that I could still walk across the graduation stage.
6 oclock am rolls around so me and my coach go to the gym to check my weight and thank God I'm on weight. I go to graduation starving and the validictorian reads a bunch of quotations from Kyle Maynard's book "No Excuses". Thought it was very fitting. Anyway graduation gets over around 12 and now we start the 3 hour ride to Winston-Salem. Finally we get there and I stll have to wait til 5 to weigh in. Once I make the weight I start to engourge myself for the first time in days. I even pooped for the first time in 3 days.
By the time the fight comes I feel great, my stressful day is over, and it's time to let out all the pent up tension in the cage... Crazy day, after the fight we drove home and I got to go to the last bit of the Graduation parties! What a happy ending, this Sunday I'm moving to Coconut Creek and training at American Top Team.
Steve Montgomery - ...... I even pooped for the first time in 3 days.

I'm technically a high school dropout, so I'm just jealous.
How did the fight go? I'm assuming not the way you planned since you left that little detail out but congrats on graduation, your fight, etc.
If you're really moving down here PM before you start the drive or when you get here & I'll give you my number...I train at ATT & live in Lake Worth...

congrats
Thanks buddy, for even taking the time to read my long sort of pointless post^^
heypilgrim - congrats man. good luck from now on
thanks alot buddy
So are you coming down flying solo or is the fam moving?
I'm moving down for a month, and it happens to work out good because my next fight is on July 18th, and I'll be heading back to my hometown that week. Then I'll be moving back down in August to go to school there and train. I'm just kind of hopelessly following a dream...sounds corny but oh well. The basis of me moving there is ATT not college, just can't let the parents know that.
^ just bored and looking for a place to write down some thoughts, see what people think, glad you liked it...

Not hopelessly following the dream. Sounds like you're doing just fine at following your dream.
Congrats on the graduation, and the fight. Good luck in the future.
Congrats mate! Enjoy your training and future fights, but remember to be an 18 year old every now and again too.

Congrats "Weasel"! Guys this kid has his head and heart in the right place. As he mentioned this fight was 3&1/2 hrs away on the day of his graduation. His last fight was on PROM night. He's a talented kid that loves mma,& he occasionally surfs. When given the chance after fights,he always thanks GOD and his family 1st as he should.
We will miss him here but know that hes only going where life takes him and as long as he keeps on the same track he can only get better.Look forward to July and his record
improving to 4-0 and still undefeated.Good Luck!
