Will Barnett have the balls to admit cheating?

Just wondering what the UG thinks.

He hasnt said shit about all the proublems he just created.

Will he just do another Shean Sherk or will he come clean (lol) and finally state hes a habitual user!

He's been busted 3 times already for christs sake.

He's a peace of shit. I wonder what he will say in the future. Its over for him.

He already denied it, afaik.

I know but this guy lied through his teeth. He needs to address the fans with some courtesy and respect.

I used to like Barnett but he's dead to me now.

"like Sean Sherk" - Nah, like Josh Barnett. That was his problem in the past, he refused to admit his guilt. I highly doubt Josh is going to have anything close to what his MMA Career could have been.

Does a license failure drop you from the MMA rankings the same way a suspension does?

It takes a long time to prepare a statement that you hope will convince the public.

*See Ken Pavia`s Celebrity Golf Tournament.

I expect Josh to come out with accusations of others cheating, eg, saying brazilians fixed matches in ADCC (which he already said), and pointing at others in a sad attempt to diminish his own culpability.

 After the Couture fight.  ^^^^

Haha, I expected exactly this one word response from you and you did not disappoint.

My guess is no.

I'm probably an idiot, but I believe Sean Sherk when he says he didn't do it. I just have a hard time believing an individual would work that hard every single day just to cheat anyway.

I don't know about believing Sherk but there was a ton of BS about his appeal. However, there's a really common misconception about steroids that they are the easier way and while that is partially true a lot of athletes use because it allows them to work much harder for much longer and to recover from those work outs much faster.

People are often shocked when the hardest working guy in the gym is the guy using, but sometimes thats the reason he is the hardest working guy in the gym.

Herring In A Fur Coat - He basically has 3 options:  Deny everything (a la Sherk), admit & apologize (a la Bonnar or Sylvia) or do neither (a la Royce).  I have a feeling he will go the Royce route, neither admitting nor denying it and just hoping people will forget about the whole thing after a while.

Royce denied it. He just didnt bother to go thru the appeal process.

CRE - I honestly think some of us are moving on and looking forward to some fights, it sucks that Affliction died, but why does it have to consume the forum? I would rather discuss the here and now and that's not talking about Barnett's positive over and over and the Affliction death..There are other events around the corner, just saying.

The here and now? You mean like this little OMA troll who has been infecting this site for days now

he fucked up an awesome card, i hope he never fights in the U.S again....

Great one NP

Not that I'm aware of.  The only statement I've seen was something along the line of "I didn't expect there to be a problem" which is not exactly a denial.

You're right. I didn't really notice how carefully worded his statement was.

Many of you are wondering what's happening. What I can say is that when applying for my license, the CSAC asked for me to submit a urine sample for testing prior to granting my license as they do with everyone, I believe. It was not a random test. I had no reason to believe there would be any issues and went in to submit my sample at the earliest possible opportunity on June 25th. I never once thought there would be a problem.

My representatives and I are working to gather as much info as possible and handle this situation as best as we can. I am embarrassed and want for nothing more than to resolve this issue and receive a license from the State of California as I have done many times already and for other states as well.
I am very thankful for all the great family, friends and fans that still support me.

Sincerely,

Josh
