Not saying he shouldn't, as I'm a big fan, but I wonder if Dana thinks of him the same way he does Forrest, Stephan, and Kenny? Will Leben, win lose or draw, always be able to call the UFC home? Just curious.
Yes, Leben is a warrior and has been in the ufc since tuf 1 at this point if he uasnt been cut for some of his loosing streeks then i think he will be here forever. Like it or not Leben is on his way to legend status if he already isnt there. WAR LEBEN!!!!!
yeah Chris will retire in UFC, this will be his 19th fight with them not including his 2 on the tuf show.
I hope so. He's one of my favorites. I always look forward to his fights and remember when he took two fights in the span of like, two weeks? He's a warrior, plain and simple.
WAR LEBEN!!!!
Yes, and he deserves it for his performances in the cage. He'll never so much as sniff a title shot but as long as he is even remotely competitve at MW, he'll get 3-4 fights a year in the UFC.
The problem with guys like Leben is that once they hit the downside of their careers, they hit bottom hard and fast. It won't be a slow decline but a precipitous drop off the proverbial cliff.
I think he was gonna get cut if he lost to Jay Silva years ago. He had just lost to Bisping, tested positive for steroids, then allegedly didn't train hard and got choked out by Jake Rosholt. The steroid test and rumors of him not taking the Rosholt fight serious have him in danger. He fought pretty safe against Silva, so likely he felt pressure to win.
