LOL @ comparing Marquadt to Jones and Silva. When Marquadt got cut, he'd just dropped down for his first WW fight in the UFC and wasn't ranked in the division. He'd also been mocked by DW repeatedly in interviews for his inability to get over the hump at MW.

I think we are seeing the beginning of a anti Jackson movement by the UFC, similar to the Militech and Bob Cook situations.
UFC has so much much clout here, Jackson should be very careful, some battles simply can not be won.
They can't cut Jones, he would go to a competitor like Bellator. They can't really discipline him either.
This is exactly why the UFC promotes the brand over the fighters these days... When one guy has enough power and influence to make or break an entire event, this sort of thing is bound to happen.
Enjoy all future cards being even more "watered down" than they have been. UFC's days of promoting new stars is OVER.

Sonnen would be a better buy than JJ for another org - highly competitive but beatable, will fight anyone, company man, not a prima-donna and most importantly headed the biggest PPV in history.
