I think he'd need to fight and beat at least one of:
Koscheck
Fitch
Shields
before getting a shot, IMO.
I think Kim can out grapple Fitch.
I like Kim but he's gonna have to win an exciting one to get a title shot. Dana doesn't really seem to like his style, he's basically in the same boat as Fitch.

Well Condit says he's going to KO kim and Kim says he's going to submit him in the first round so hopefully we get an exciting brawl.
He needs to beat Condit decisively, either finish or totally dominate, or get at least one more win. Two if those wins were controversial iirc, and The Heat beat him and didn't test positive to peds (basically he was strung out on pk's and still beat him). That being said i think Condit takes this, and he could be in line for a title shot. Him vs either Diaz or GSP, especially Diaz, would be fun. 
As much as I like Kim I don't think he's got anything on GSP or Koscheck for that matter. At this point in time he's a tricky fighter for anyone except for the top guys. He won't beat Koscheck, Shields or Fitch at this point in time... How would he do against Matt Hughes?
On the other hand if he lights up Condit or gets a slick submission I might rethink that but he basically has to become a better striker than Koscheck, Fitch and Shields because he won't be able to throw and hold them.

i think Koscheck would be a good fight after this to show whether or not hes great for a shot. Any word on how much longer until Koscheck will be fully recovered?

Last I heard, Koscheck was still complaining that his orbital bone still hurt like hell when he ran, so who knows.
yeah Koscheck will be out for a while, GSP done did him up.

And Karo beat Nick Diaz handily
IF he beats Condit (and i dont think he is going to), He should fight Koscheck or Fitch. If he wins that, he gets a title shot.
Also, if Fitch wins his next fight, he should get a title shot as well.
They can't keep Fitch on the Hook this long.
The dude is 13-1-1 in the UFC and has gone 5-0-1 since his loss to GSP.
One more high level win for Fitch, and he should get another shot, no matter HOW boring people think he is.
