Will Tito get let go ???

If not...who will he fight next ???

Bonnar ??

I think they should have him fight Bonnar and then go from there.

Hopefully, it'll be good for the sport to have a big name in other orgs Phone Post

I don't think he's a big draw anymore, and if he does go somewhere else like Strikeforce, he'd likely only bring viewers to a CBS event. Regardless, he's lost his last 4 of 6 with 1 draw in there, and it would look really bad if he went to Strikeforce and took the belt. I'd still like to see him fight someone like Bonnar as well though, or use him to promote a guy like Phil Davis.

I could see him fighting Bonnar, to give him one last chance. I am not sure much value as a fighter he has to say Strikeforce. Do you main event a guy who is 1-4 in his last five? What does that say about your LHW's?

He is going to demand to much money for Strikeforce to bring him in as a lower on the card attraction. Further, does he draw anymore? I am not sure he does.

He's still a draw to the casual MMA fans. I was at the weigh ins and there was a large Tito support. It would only benefit other orgs. Winning the belt in strikeforce wouldn't damage the orgs credibility because it would only attract attention to the org. Only hardcore MMA fans would say that it lessens the belts credibility. Casual fans > hardcore fans in numbers. My father knows who Tito is and has only seen maybe two cards (101 and 107). Phone Post

Crooklyn - My money would be on Bonnar.

JDSFTW - LOL, casual fans are UFC fans and would know he's on a big losing streak...

You have no idea about business my friend. First of all, go ask 30 people and see if they know Tito hasn't won since 2006 ( assuming they know some degree of MMA). They probably do not. Secondly, the Ufc or zuffa's number 1 priority is making NEW fans. Not keeping the old ones. So if Tito attracts ANY attention to strikeforce, then it is beneficial to the organization. I know you may not understand the basics of business models but it's really not too complicated. Newer fans spend more money than old fans and we all know how much Dana loves his $ Phone Post

Edited to clarify my statement

While Tito is a game opponent, and always seems to do work, from the top and the bottom, he just doesn't have what it takes to compete with these well rounded, elite athletes.  I feel that his time has come and gone, which is sad, because I definitely feel that he helped catapult the sport into the mainstream spotlight.

Very well put. I still think he should be cut though. People have been cut for a LOT LESS, and it just seems like it is his time. If they put him up against Bonnar I would have a hard time not picking Bonnar every time at this point.

Dana made it sound like he was done.

Maybe have him headline a Fight Night against Bonnar or something - I dunno. Lot of years of cumulative Punishment on that frame of his.

Give Matt Hughes his wish and stick him in commentary with Goldie and Rogan.

Oh god please don't have him be a commentator.

Imagine the train wreck.

Ratings, fren.

MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING - Chuck.... Makes sense...

The voice in my head three quarters of the way through a bottle of vodka.

He's got no upside at all. The only fight I'd be interested in seeing would be against Chuck. And I think Chuck takes that.

Bonnar is comming off a win, Tito hasn't won in 4 years. As much as I love seeing Tito get his ass kicked, He should be cut. or at most fight Chuck in a retirement match. Phone Post

He should fight Krystof Sozynski (sp?) Phone Post

Let him fight a young up and comer. Someone like Gustafson or Phil Davis.

Since Bader backed out, have Tito fight Jon Jones in what will be Tito's farewell/retirement match.

UFC can easily let him to after getting destroyed by a young and hungry lion like Jones.

As far as this statement goes ...
