Will UFC RIO be lowest selling PPV of Zuffa era?

It'll be a super low selling ppv but oh well their loss! Phone Post

Globally it will do good money and make great advertising revenue etc.

I'll be DVR'ing the fights and watching them as soon as the football is done.

Another UKTT victim -

that card did 400,000 buys. There's been Zuffa cards that did 50,000 so it's fairly obvious Ts is a noob. I expect this card to do 125-175,000. I'm sure early estimates will be 125 but like always it will be bumped up after the numbers are completely calculated.

Personally I'm going to order it because I'm an Aldo and Palhares fan. Plus I think Vitor/Rumble, Etim/Barboza, Silva/Prater and Massenzio/Palhares are four very solid fights.

I am glad that Zuffa is cutting down from 16 ppvs to 14 in 2012 and hope they get down to 12 in 2013. 12 is the perfect number imo.

Jose Aldo following a Brock Lesnar PPV is like asking out Lexington Steele's ex-girlfriend and telling her you will knock the bottom out of her ass. Phone Post

Hahaha! That's fucking hilarious! You, good sir, are funny. Phone Post

Palhares is a future GOAT

I'd give it 250k. There is always going to be a core plus a little overflow from the last card.

No more though. Phone Post

It will do OK, plus all the prelims will be on FX, that will give it a boost.

It's a weak card for sure but when you say the ZUFFA era you might be forgetting that the pre-TUF ZUFFA era wasn't much more lucrative than the SEG era with only UFC 40 in 2002 doing big numbers and eveything else basically tanking.

But yeah, this card should do about as poorly as any in recent years.

Main event could very well be a snoozer, so I don't know if I'm ordering or not but I doubt it'll be the worst. Phone Post

A Flock Of Seagals - Yeah.. because some fans are fucking morons.

This is a great card Vitor Belfort Vs Anthony Johnson? two vicious strikers.

Barboza Vs Etim will be a great fight...

And my boy Erick Silva will kick some ass.

I am pumped!!!

There we go... So tiering to hear the 4 year fan. Phone Post

People that don't like this card:

People that don't actually know jackshit about MMA.
People that don't research fighters.
People that enjoy WWE.
People that purse them lips around polish sausage.
People that stream fights.
People that watch fights alone.
People that work buggie duty @ Wal-Mart.

Did I miss anyone?

I'll just check in for updates on the UG! It looks like a good card on paper but not a great card. I'll save my money this time. Phone Post

The average buyrate is right around 500k buys. I'll say around 300k-325k for this card.

$60 is ridiculous.

There is awesome fights shown for free all the time. Charging 60 bucks for this card is a joke

And you would be one of the guys who complain about fighters being underpaid. this card is worth 60 bucks.

You know there is such a thing as not ripping off fans AND paying fighters well? They're not mutually exclusive. You build good cards, charge a reasonable rate, and pay the fighters well based on the profits. That's not the case here. Phone Post

Captain America - I'm DVR'ing the football game and watching it after the fights. The core audience is buying the fight either way. Phone Post

Agree. I'm blessed enough and a big enough fan to where I purchase every UFC PPV. This card I think will be much better than people anticipate. Phone Post
