Wing Chun Challenge Match

http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20194

This was posted by someone on the forum:

"Wasnt Mr Thornton supposed to release a training video last year, with extra behind-the scenes footage of two great Wing Chun masters being repeatedly and easily beaten up by one of his junior students?

The story has being trolling around for a while, but I suspect since no footage has been released, no evidence put out and no one named. It must be a faked story.

I know there some SBG guys on this forum, so what happened to the footage?"

I don't know anything about this, but I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on this subject. I personally love seeing people that have practiced dead patterns for 30 years get taken out by someone with 2 years of alive training.

We have quite a bit of that type of footage, as well as footage from SBG Gyms all around the world. We are editing it and putting it into Series 3 which will be released at the end of the Year. Including the footage mentioned above.

Thanks a lot.

No worries.

Any challenge matches against Ninjas?

Jeff,

Have you check out the 'Scary Ninjas' thread on the Australiasian forum? It's good stuff...

;-)

Tim.

I'm on my way right now!

Not sure if Matt will include fights from Rodneys
school cause there is a fight with me and a Ninja!
It was cool he did the whole cross legged meditating thing before the fight :-)

Cheers

Wiekus

We had a guy come into Muay Thai once who said he did Ninjutsu for like 5 years in Germany. He was the most out of shape person I've EVER seen, bar none.

The guy took about 20 rest breaks throughout the class. He finally collapsed on his ass about 3/4ths of the way through the class and never got up again. We never saw him in class again, of course.

This guys problem was that he liked ninjutsu, but he liked Twinkies even more...

re: 8LimbsScientist's post

I know LOTS of super fat boxers/kickboxers/wrestlers but they never seem to gas out. Shouldn't the extra weight wear them down? Have these types of dudes learned to work around their limitation?

Dude, I'm laughing at the twinkies guy, but you never know just by looking at a guy.

Just watching MMA, you'll see a guy who looks physically more imposing (real cut, big muscles) and then get owned by a slightly plump jiggly guy. Chuck Lidell consistently has that beer gut, but he keeps kicking ass. And Mark Hunt isn't winning any bodybuilding contests.

Even in local shows you see some kickboxers or MMA guys who LOOK kinda fat but they have cardio and skills.

I dunno what the answer is, but I tend to think that certain peoples body types just don't let them get into the kind of shape that others do. Like they still get in shape for a fight, but they can't do anything about the layer of flubber around their waist...I dunno, maybe I'm wrong.

I just think its funny that some dumbass might make a comment about a pudgy looking guy in a bar and then get horribly beat down.

Looks are overated! I always tell the new students at the gym that "Just because a guy is full of muscles and has a mean looking mohawk, doesn't mean he has fighting ability and just because a guy looks short, super skinny and looks like he can be easily taken, doen't mean he doesn't have fighting ability."

Looks are soooooo deceiving.

C'mon! Preview videos! You can't say they exist and not give us a taste! I wanna see ninjas!

Maybe we can get this up in our members forum sometime soon.

At least let us know if the Ninjas are in full Ninja get up and have at least one ninja star on their person. If not, then they are not truly a NEENJA.

But wait...if you "see" and are able to "videotape" a ninja are they really ninja's at all? Aren't they suppose to be "invisible" assassins?

It's a zen koan!

I have came across some Ninja's before and they were not so terrible.

At least they put up a better fight than most other Karate/TKD guys do.

Not convinced by comments like "you did quite well there, but left yourself open for numerous flesh tears" though.
