very entertaining film. The story is too embellished. And that guy fighting Donnie Yen played Ricky in "The Story of Ricky"

Donnie Yen also has an uncanny resemblance to a young Yip Man.
Another point of interest: check out the trailer for Donnie Yen's "Flash Point" (or something like that), where he makes MMA look effing poetic on film.

ah, frag me! no wonder why that actor looked familiar!!! now that you mention it (i didn't check actor's name), story of ricky (based on manga riki-oh), was awesome in a diff way... one of the first HK movie i recall that is gory... now japan has been cranking it out with machine girl, tokyo gore police, etc

yeah, flashpoint was the follow-up to SPL (sha po lang aka Kill Zone). was cool the last fight with donnie vs sammo hung with some grappling moves. but come on, cop does flying armbar on perp? looked super cool though lol
sammo hung was the martial arts choreographer, who of course did some earlier HK movies on wck - prodigal son and warriors two come to mind.
