BA: Like I said, I can't remember one without the other. To me it is almost synonymous. I think that I got to see all the good qualities that helped me develop as a wrestler, and I applied those to my life. Things like hard work, persistence, discipline, focus--those things where I thought, "Hey, these are going to give me success in one area, and I can apply them to other things!" And it worked.

WM: Why do you feel it's so important to dedicate your time and energy to youth wrestling programs?
BA: Well I think first and foremost it's just what I enjoy doing. I like helping kids, I like teaching wrestling, and I get to do both of those things at once. I saw how powerful wrestling was for me, now I get to see what wrestling can do for other kids. I think my favorite moment is when a kid has that moment of empowerment, when they finally have that breakthrough, and they say to themselves, "Man I've been working so hard for this and I finally got something I've wanted for so long." Then they realize that, if they apply those tactics to other things in their life, they can get those things, too.
If Ben can win this fight he's looking towards something like a Starbucks sponsorship. Don't want to look too far into the future though. Masvidal's durable with lots of experience and a Modelo deal.
