Soon I will be the proud and very cheap owner of this ugly thing. Reviews will be posted.
in the meantime behold this grappling phenom modeling it in all its glory
We had one floating around the gym two years ago and it seemed to hold up well. So for 60 bucks why not..
Anyone actually own one of these things?
The shoulder stitching reminds me of a country-western shirt, and the knee pads make me think of the wrong answer strikes from family feud.
How are you coming by it so cheaply?
Ebay, I think the seller is the wholesaler for the US

Free shipping, too? Not bad. Provided it doesn't fall apart immediately or cause an allergic skin condition, you might have found a previously untapped source of dirt cheap ugly training gis! ;)
Let us know how this works out, it's ugly, but for day to day training this isn't a bad idea.
will do and thats exactly what I think as well. Its jiu jitsu not a fashion show. Gi prices are getting retarded IMO. Anything over a hundred bucks is bullshit the markup on these things is ridiculous.

Taking one for the team! I like it.
Looking forward to your review. I promised myself that I'll never pay more than $100 for a gi again. Hopefully this gi can be a legitimate option.
Just buy a shitload of Gi patches on ebay :)
The average cost of manufacturing a gi is around $30.00, but the market price averages around $150 and up for retail. We're getting killed mark up.
Is the guy modeling the gi ok...?
Looks like he may be suffering from Parkinson's or recently had spine surgery.
I own this gi! it is actually one of my better looking gi's. The jacket is really thick and slim fitting. The pants were a little on the baggy side but I modified them to make them slimmer. You wont regret it, I've had mine for 2 years and still looks new. No fading whatsoever.

Did you get it tapered? Tailor or DIY?
That isn't the Woldorf version sold at our gym, but the ones that are sold hold up well.
Is this the gi with the funny looking wizard on the back?

If so, please pass along any info that you have on them.
We would like to offer gis in the future, but our research thus far hasn't added up to much. There are loads of companies (mostly in Pakistan since they do cotton well) on the business to business sites that offer gis, but it's a matter of sifting through the BS compnaies to find a good one that provides a product that can be sold to the public - not just in-house to students for their first gi.
If we can get them made for $30 (with a low MOQ) I guarantee we would sell them for less than $150 and possibly less than $100.
Dont mean to hijack the thread so if you have info anf dont want to post here please PM us.
Thanks-
Bean Bag - Is this the gi with the funny looking wizard on the back?
And we promise -- no funny looking wizards!
a few guys had them as a starter gi.
it held up. not as comfortable as an atama but it did the job.
i didn't notice anythign while rolling w/ him, aside that i hate the stitching. gi-wise, it felt like a decent gi.
Bean Bag - Is this the gi with the funny looking wizard on the back?
yes when they first came out they all had that on them. This one is supposed to be blank.
I don't think the guy modeling that gi is really a blue belt. Let's dojo storm.

@ Bean Bag- yes it is the one with the wizard but I got mine without any patches just plain black and it looks pretty sweet. I have a Koral, Atama, Gameness, old shoyoroll, and this is one of my best looking gis.
@ lets talk it out- I didnt get the pants tapered i just did it myself. I basically folded the edge of the pants inward all along the length of the legs and then sowed it up giving them more of a slim look.
