Woman Fired For Reporting Possible Terror Threat

Hotel clerk loses her job and might be jailed for reporting suspicious behavior
July 6, 2016 at 9:48 pm Robert Zimmerman

Madness: A hotel clerk who called 911 because a Muslim man was behaving strangely about getting a room during the Republican convention in Cleveland has been fired and might be prosecuted by the local authorities.

The Muslim man was asking odd questions, refused to accept the fact that all the rooms were booked, and had multiple cellphones. The article also includes the transcript of the clerk’s 911 call, which clearly shows she was not trying to profile unfairly but thought it wise to let the police know about what was happening.

In a sane world, the hotel and the police would simply drop things. Instead, the hotel fired the clerk, and the police are considering prosecuting her. And people wonder why Islamic mass murderers can literally announce on social media what they intend to do and no one reports it.

"If you see something, say something, and then we'll call you a silly bitch and publicly humilate you."

Sounds like she's being prosecuted because she told the police that he was "screaming, waving his phones and pledging allegiance to ISIS", but actually he did none of that and just booked a hotel room.

lol

I'd like to hear the actual 911 call. She says asked her sister to call and what she says she told her sister doesn't seem that bad.Having said that, I don't understand why she didn't make the call herself. She says she didn't want him to hear her call 911. But he couldn't hear her call her sister?

"Behaving strangely" doesnt help anyone to understand what prompted her call.

Asking about rooms, I mean I usually try to get a room in a specific area: higher floors away from the elevator.

More than one celly when youre a foreigner isnt uncommon.

Didnt the father say she was "scared shitless" crying in the back room or something.

Regardless, firing her and criminal charges... seems extreme?

Wonder if theres any video from inside the hotel.

All she has to do is swear up and down she heard him say something about Isis on his phone and it's her word against his, she can't get arrested without proof. If she lied and she's smart she will stick with that lie until she dies.

I heard the 911 call, the girl had a deactivated iPhone that could text through wifi but that's it (it probably could call 911 but she probably didn't know that anyways) the sister said she was texted and told to call 911 since her sister couldn't, plus I think she locked herself in a back room and text her sister. The tape is out there. The dad calls 911 too I heard parts of that one but can't remember much Phone Post 3.0

Clerk: He wanted somewhere in Avon or Elyria. He wanted a month's stay. He was leaving July 13 to the 14 around there and I tried to help him as much as possible. Everywhere said they are booked and couldn't help him, I told him. And then he wanted to sit in our lobby. He didn't want to leave.

Officer: So you said you guys were booked?

Clerk: I said we're booked. Everywhere he called is booked too. It's summer. People are traveling. He had two phones. He was searching the Internet on one phone, making calls on a disposible phone. That's really all I know. It just freaks me out because of everything going on.

Officer: He didn't say anything else?

Clerk: No, it's just...

Officer: Because the call we got is that someone said he was pledging his allegiance to ISIS.

Clerk: No, no, no, no, he...

Officer: Who would have said that? Who made the call?

Clerk: I told my sister--it's my sister--her name is [redacted], she called. I said he's dressed in a weird outfit, he has a disposable phone. I said I don't know what to do because of everything going on...going on with ISIS. I said call the police, because we couldn't because he kept coming up here.

It ain't him, babe.

I am in casino marketing I have 2 phones always, work and personal, and sometimes the casino gives me a 3rd for direct communication with the hotel.  I also often search the internet with one and talk on the other as I cant talk and look for a flight or hotel room while talking on my phone.  If I went to hotel and needed a room and they are sold out I imagine sitting in the looby using Wifi to find another place to stay would be the normal action someone would take.  I think I would be pretty pissed if someone called the cops on me for this, especially if I just tried to give the hotel my money to stay there.

I carry 12 phones on a utility belt like Batman or Schneider from One Day At A Time.
