“I don’t have to fight Leon Edwards,” Tyron Woodley said on Brendan Schaub’s “Food Truck Diaries”. "Leon Edwards is trying to build his name, and I ain’t a gatekeeper for someone to build their name off."
So he’s back to pouting and refusing to fight anyone up and coming, despite being one sidedly beaten down and losing his last fight.
Hopefully Dana learned from the last time he gave Woodley a title shot on a 2 fight win streak after and 18 month lay off only to be called a racist in return.
Woodley should have to earn his title shot this time. The most entitled whiny narcissist in UFC history.
Leon Edwards is one fight away from a title shot. A bout vs Woodley would be proper match-making.
100% correct.... it blows my mind Tyron could be this clueless & entitled! I dunno if it's sad or funny.... so who would he fight then? Just the champ? He needs to get a grip. He's boring and not a draw, and has become unlikeable with all this shit over past few years.
Seems like a pretty logical fight to me given Colby and Usman likely next.
Of course Woodley is too busy telling everyone he's a nightmare for Usman "every day of the week" ... apart from the last day they fought, obviously.
It’s funny the excuse Woodley made for his loss vs Usman “before the first punch, all the battery went out of me” or something similar …we saw the fight, it was Usmans power, wrestling and aggressiveness that took the fight out of you Ty…
Woodley/Edwards makes perfect sense now…if their first fight was actually close then I could see Woodley getting immediate rematch with Usman but.it.wasnt
Woodley has to be the MMA fighter with the single highest opinion of themselves. By quite a margin. In a sport where you have to be confident that you're better than everyone else, that's saying something.
It's what puts people off him, the delusional arrogance of it. Of course, he just plays the victim card and calls everyone racist when confronted by it. His head seems so far up his own ass he's starting to turn inside out.
