Openmat MMA is excited to have brown belt world champion Jonathan Thomas from Alliance Atlanta coming to Toronto to teach his competition forged guard system. Jon will be sharing the tools he used to become a 2x World Champion (2011 brown, 2009 purple) and 3x Pan American Champion (2011 brown, 2009 purple, 2007 blue)

On Saturday, April 28, Jon will begin by teaching the guard recovery skills that are the framework of his famous guard work. Then he will go directly into teaching the spider guard game that has helped him win at the top levels of international competition.
Sunday, April 29, Jon will be discussing his guard passing theory and showing his favourite high percentage guard passes. Followed by how to untangle yourself from your common guards (spider, DLR, butterfly, etc.) and move directly into his passing game.
