Wouldn't BJ Penn beating Ludwig make Penn the World Champ ?

No, they fought at 170lbs., not 155

Reno... This is in terms of being the linear champ... Jens was the widely accepted World Champ because of his reign in the UFC. Then he lost to Ludwig... (regardless of the fact that it was not a UFC bout).

Like Fedor - beat Nogueira, who beat Coleman, who beat Fujita, who beat Kerr, who beat Enson, who beat Couture, who beat Mo Smith, who beat Coleman, who beat Severn to establish the recognized world champ

You're on drugs...

bang being world champ is ridiculous

mma rankings Having Yves Edwards at #2 is rediculous

I don't think it matters if they fought at 170, they can both make 155 and Penn killed him. I agree about edwards rank though.

145lbs-155lbs Mike Brown should be in the top 10

Shouldnt Shaolin be considered the world champ, since the Shooto belt was around way before the UFC belt?

Don't forget Takumi after him beating Krazy Horse tonite!!!

"I don't think it matters if they fought at 170, they can both make 155 and Penn killed him. I agree about edwards rank though."

"Shouldnt Shaolin be considered the world champ, since the Shooto belt was around way before the UFC belt?"

There could be an arguement for who deserves to be champ...Bang is not really 'THE' champ but, he did KO Pulver when i had Pulver as the linear champ(when he beat Uno). Pulver also beat Penn, who had 'destroyed' Gomi, who had become the Legit SHOOTO champ.

I wish Penn/Bang had been at 155lbs. but, it wasnt...therefore, until Bang loses at 155 then he'll remain the linear champ.

Shaolin might be deserving but until he beats Bang he will not be the linear champ.
