The jackass is doing it backwards so is relying on nothing but speed. You isolate the wrist then bend the slide backward and toward the outside of the hand. It uses the trigger finger as a fulcrum and will break the trigger finger if the react fast enough to pull away. It's the best technique that seems to work in force on force drills. I'm not the biggest fan of Krav Maga but they do it this way. I'm surprised 80s western TMAs didn't get more people shot, stabbed or beat up
I don’t know. I’m no expert on disarming folks, but if you were going to try that kind of thing IRL I believe step one is supposed to be getting the muzzle off line, which means turning your torso in conjunction with what your hands are doing.
Just a couple lbs of pressure could make for a very bad outcome.
If you get close enough that your prisoner can grab your gun.......you deserve to lose your gun and get anally violated
He doesn't twist toward the outside of the hand while pushing the slide backward but first one that came up.
The logic behind slapping the gun toward the inside is that momentum makes the hand snap open and during that motion the finger can’t squeeze the trigger. Can’t remember the book I read it in but it was the early 90s.
I got an easier way...... You shoot the fuck in the head from behind.

It's cool looking and I dont want to be "that guy" but I've seen these things so many times before. Sadly some were being taught to road officers in academy training. It works in a safe environment when you know it's going to happen. I would always tell the boot officers, everything DT you learn or see ask yourself "will it work on the side of the road, at 0300 hours after you had court all day and the guy is jacked up on meth".
