I was really looking at this card as kind of ho-hum and I thought their would be a lack of skill shown and a handful of boring fights.
I was wrong....the skill level of the competitors looked good for the most part, and arguably the best MMA show of the year thusfar.

Saunders pretty much won the first fight off his back but without a sub which I like to see.... it's a rare type of victory.
The closest thing to a drop in the action after that was KO's and Subs the rest of the night. Not a single bad fight in my opinion.
I thought J-Roc V War Machine would be the fight of the night...it would have been if the headliner didn't steal the show.

The UFC's stock rose tonight. That was an awesome event and not a bad season other than the final which was weak. Tommy was like a deer in the headlights, his cut must have sapped all his focus and energy because he looked much better in his other fights. Could also be that Mac as 10 times as skilled and experience as the other guys he fought for the most part.
Huerta is the man, I was rooting for Guida at the beginning but after Huerta took so much punishment and it was so back and forth I found myself rooting for whoever was losing at the time. Rd. 1 and Rd. 2 were exactly what Guida said, he beat the hell out of Huerta but he gassed out completely and was dead for the short duration of rd. 3. Awesome lethality on the strikes by Huerta. He felt Guida fade and poured it on and finished with a tight sub. That guy really is a star, he just beat a great fighter. 99.99% of people will never even understand the heart that both of those guys have.
Forrest will have to have the stars alligned just right to have a chance at beating Rampage. I think Rampage will step his game up another level from the Henderson fight and KO Forrest ala Jardine.

kick ass card. I was pumped to see Guida/Huerta and it was a much better fight than I could have hoped. I thought that Mac was very impressive in his fight, he showed great skill and a great game plan. He immediately had Tommy out of his comfort zone, and finished nicely. War/JRock fight was great to watch. Great night, makes feel great about passing on the PPV tonight
This was far from the worst season, that honor belongs to season 2 by far. Excellent final!!!
