I have next week off from work. It sounds like Vegas is pretty “open for business.” Should I take a week vacation there? Has anyone been in the past few weeks? Very curious to hear how it is these days and whether the covid restrictions, if any, would interfere with a good week. Thxxxx OG.
It depends. When did the last stimulus check go out?
Lmao great point…
Can you recommend an airline and a hotel that would have the fewest stimulus check recipients?
A full week in Vegas is a LONG time, amigo. Vegas is a 2.5 day city, IMO.
Just went down to the strip last weekend. It’s definitely business as usual. Seems like the stimmy checks ran out and it’s the regular clientele.
Thanks. This is great intel.
How uptight are they with the masks?
In the casinos pretty strict unless your eating, drinking or smoking which is 90% of your time inside lol. The one time I was reminded to mask up security guy came up and said “Sir I’m gonna need you to put your mask on” I said my bad and he said “Its fine, we’re just worried about getting fined”. So they’re definitely not dicks about it.
On the actual strip outside not 1 fuck is given.
I just left Vegas today. Got there Saturday.
It’s pretty busy. Things opened to 80% and now 100% in some places. Though it isn’t completely packed. A bunch of shows haven’t started back yet though. Most start back next month or so.
Thanks was it fun? Would you recommend it for a single guy?
Probably. Depends what you’re into. We went to eat at nice restaurants mostly. We aren’t big into gambling. We would have preferred to see a couple more shows but oh well. We did see David Copperfield, which was very disappointing.
But the pools are open, some clubs are open, shopping and such is open. Certainly plenty to do
We have settled into to the Thursday-Monday trip as the optimal amount of time.
Go see the Meow Wolf art show/exhibit, super awesome. Plan on being there a couple of hours.
The place it’s at is called Area 15. They have a bar/food there. Fun place.
