Would you watch an all women TUF?

I'm guessing some time in the near future the UFC will do a 115lb TUF. Instead of guys & chics, how about an all women's 115 & 135lb house?

Sometimes the best ideas are so simple it takes a long time before people get it, like wheels on luggage. Combat sports were the same way. Boxers boxed, Judoka threw, BJJ players submitted, etc, but until UFC 1, no one thought to put all the rules together.

This season of The Ultimate Fighter famously featured for the first time both male and female competitors.

MMAFighting's Dave Meltzer recently noticed a clear pattern this season - people are more interested in the female fights than the male fights.

There has been an up-and-down pattern in the ratings. As in, the week of a women's fight, the audience is up. The two women's fights, airing on Sept. 12 and Sept. 26, did 870,000 and 778,000 viewers live. The men's fights on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3 did 639,000 and 640,000. While the live ratings are down with the move to Fox Sports 1, most weeks it has been the most watched sports event on television for the night, particularly in the target Male 18-49 demographic.

If women's fights are more compelling to viewers than men's fights, and if the UFC is going to debut a new women's division, then why not have an all women's season of TUF?

After some of the fights the women have had this season i would watch it in a heartbeat

I thought I would before this past season.

But now I realize there is nothing the UFC can do to get me to watch TUF again.

Why not? I watch all women porn... I'm for equal rights.

nope, nope, nope.

I love the, "they womens fights got more views" arguments.

The womens semi finals had some pretty weak ratings compared to the earlier episodes, so obviously they are much more popular.

Also look at who the show focuses on, the only male name i can name right now is anthony, and that's because they focused on him fucking up last episode since his fight didn't happen.

On episodes when the men fight, they focus 60% on some female drama going on.

When women fight the men don't exist outside of saying "shes good".

Oh i can name chris holdsworth, but that's because he's by far the most skilled fighter on the show, is in the finale, and they haven't showed much of him in a few weeks.

better then mixed imo

As long as rousey is not coaching, yes.

If they can put it together, I wouldn't mind seeing an all 115lb women's season, possibly for the belt at the finale. I don't think I want the coaches to be women too though.

The only way I'd watch TUF is if it stopped being a soap opera and started being about fighters fighting.

This will never happen. Phone Post 3.0

All 115ers.. Yes.. Mix of 115 and 135ers.. Yes. :) Phone Post 3.0

Didn't even watch this season cause I don't care about it.

Pretty sure the UFC will learn their lesson when numbers next season are significantly higher.

nop

This, with the Cruz and bareo (sp?) Coaching maybe Cruz can actually make the fight Phone Post 3.0

Tldr but the answer is yes Phone Post 3.0

I think it's a great idea.
Get Gina Carano as coach. Sign Felice Herrig. Master Toddy can be the mentor.

Base it in Thailand and call it....... Phone Post 3.0

I have only watched like 1 or 2 episodes because I work Wednesday nights. If you look at the UG and other articles online, you would think it was an all women's TUF. I could name most of the women on the show from banter around here... The only thing I know about the men are that some dude didn't make weight.

I think the TUF needs to go back to Jones vs Sonnen Formant, by that I mean show more training and working and not try to make it a Real World show with a 2 round fight at the end. Phone Post 3.0

I would.

I stopped watching Tuff altogether. I'll probably watch BJ's Tuff though. They need to do a tuff with a couple already established guys and winner gets a shot at the belt. Phone Post 3.0

No. Phone Post 3.0

I would definately Phone Post 3.0
