Right. I was and still am a fan of Paddy, but it’s pretty clear to me he is being highly influenced and misinformed, intentional or not.
I am going to admit though, while Dana did take a huge L in this, how fucking great is Dana at being a promoter when he gets his upcoming cash cow and hyped fighter Paddy to suggest a media member profits from him.
Dana’s job is to use fighters to profit for his business, which he directly financially benefits from.

Ariel put Paddy on his show long before Paddy was relevant. This happened, and is proof, aka RECEIPT that the accusation Ariel uses fighters to get views is false.
Ariel and Paddy have a good relationship as Paddy was seemingly thankful for Ariel to invite him to his show. Paddy later texts Ariel asking if Ariel Helwani, if Ariel would like to meet up with Paddy while he is in town. Ariel took that as insinuation Paddy wanted to do an interview or something mma related, and accepted. As the date drew near, Paddy then was offered to do an interview by someone else, and those people were going to pay Paddy for the interview, Paddy’s manager told Ariel that Paddy could not his interview, because Paddy is getting paid to do an interview with someone else.
Ariel took offense to that, as Ariel states he has never and would never pay someone to do an interview, and that all he(Paddy’s manager) had to do was cancel the interview, there was no need to suggest Ariel could pay for Paddy to do his interview that was originally scheduled.
Ariel later, would make a comment that a fighter and his manager that he would not go on record naming, for the first time in Ariel’s 15 years of covering mma, asked if Ariel could pay to have a fighter do his show.
Within a week, Paddy’s manager willingly chose to put out a tweet how a fighter on his way up needs to do all the promotion he can to build his brand, and once his brand is built, it’s time the fighter gets paid for what he has built.
The fans put 2 and 2 together, and had it not been for Paddy’s own manager making this tweet, nothing would have come from it.
But since his manager made that tweet, Ariel still did not say anything. However once Paddy and Dana started shitting all over Ariel, accusing Ariel of using fighters to get paid, accusing Ariel of getting paid for his youtube channel, Ariel fired back playing a voicemail from Paddy, as well as text messages proving Ariel’s side is true. This in regards to Ariel being genuinely nice to Paddy, ending on good terms via text, to then Paddy calling him a Rat Faced Jew, as well as Paddy suggesting he(Paddy) is not one of those anti-vax dickheads.
Ariel didn’t just clear his name on the situation, he used his 15 years of never having 1 example of any of the stuff Dana/Paddy were saying, to show the audience he has been nothing but consistent, where as Paddy was getting paid to have views on his podcast where Dana was a guest on.
Dana and Paddy accused Ariel of using fighters to profit his(Ariel) show, where Paddy somehow forgot that Ariel had Paddy on his show long before Paddy was a name. Ariel’s show was well established long before Paddy was. Yet Paddy is kissing Dana White’s ass accusing Ariel of making money from fighters like him, where Dana White, who literally stands to make millions when Paddy fights for him, was laughing it up.
Ariel explained he got into journalism to cover the good, bad, and ugly of the sport, and Dana only wants media to cover the good. (looks to see if John Morgan is reading this post)
Dana & Paddy call Ariel a scumbag, a liar, wanting to use fighters for his profit. Ariel responds with actual proof, substance, receipts, proving he is not a liar, and points out what he gets paid for, by who, and for what, none of which coming from fighters.
Ariel somewhat contradicts himself saying he will not be low class and call Dana or Paddy names, but insinuates they are liars(which in a way is kinda true), and later Ariel also throws shade at Dana White for pointing out several things Dana White has failed at, ending with maybe Fuck It Friday is what millions of people want to see, an 50 something year old middle aged man eating cheeto flavored pancakes. Again, not really a classy thing to say or point out, however given the context of the situation, I personally don’t see anything wrong with it. This is mma, and this is Dana White we are talking about so you’re going to have to get your hands a little dirty if you’re going to throw mud.

Paddy is in the wrong on this issue, but no one should expect a professional fighter, someone who gets punched in the head for a living, to be a scholar.
He’s also still young and very new to the game, still susceptible to being influenced, and lacks life experience compared to many of us.
I’m still a fan of Paddy. I just have more respect for Ariel, a tiny less for Dana, and higher hopes for Paddy to become more aware with age than he currently is.

Ariel compared himself to Oprah and Rogan. Paddy is right Ariel is a content creator. Fighter appearances are being monetized so why not at least sponsor some outside of the cage. Khamzat asked for money too from Ariel.
Dana and Ariel are both shit heads and more alike than they would let on.
