Wrestling owns BJJ

Examples that I will site include

Coleman v. Goes

Henderson v. Bustamante

Sims v. Mir 1 & 2

Henderson v. Goes

Sakuraba v. All of the Gracies

Kerr v. Gurgel

Pulver v. Penn

Carter v. Serra

Trigg v. Machado

Couture v. Belfort 1 & 2

Hughes v. Penn

nuff said

you count Sakuraba as a wrestler like Hughes/Couture/Trigg???

Shonie Carter is a wrestler? Pulver?

dumbass,

There are just about as many examples of BJJ owning wrestling.

You are incorrect.

Wrestlers have to learn BJJ in order to compete against it.

Take any wrestler who has never seen BJJ and put them in against a BJJ fighter...you'll see.

Shawn C: Yep, I've seen what happens: BJJ guy all bloody, tapping out.

"Couture v. Belfort 1 & 2"

2 hasen't happened yet.

9.5

Given that BJ v. Hughes hasn't happened yet, it's pretty stupid to CITE it.

What about Noguiera subbing Coleman with a triangle choke in Pride?

"Shawn C: Yep, I've seen what happens: BJJ guy all bloody, tapping out."

Example?

"you count Sakuraba as a wrestler like

Hughes/Couture/Trigg???

Shonie Carter is a wrestler? Pulver?"

Yeah all these guys have their base in freestyle or folkstyle wrestling. Carter then branched out and did a lot of Greco Roman. Why do u think he has such good upperbody takedowns?

Pulver was a college wrestler, and Saku wrestled freestyle in Japan at university.

you can't count coleman v. mino because mark, wasn't in his right mind after 9/11

might as well count coleman v. takada too.

If wrestling does not train jiujitsu than jiujitsu will win everytime

this is a troll thread if I have ever seen one.

"Sims v. Mir"
This my not be a good example. He cheated to get himself disqualified.

What Shawn C and tapout said, I get wrestlers all the time in my JJ club. They always get owned until they learn some REAL submissions.

worst thread ever by a blue namer w/ almost 15K posts

lw, in vale tudo anything goes and that is the way HH trains, they train for the street, nothing else.

don't make me throw in

Williams v. Fulton

Couture v. Rizzo 1 & 2

Hughes v. Newton 1 & 2

Henderson v. Gracie, Mino 1, babalu, ninja

Sims v. Silvera

Kerr v. Inoue

Shamrock v. gracie 2

Frye v. Bittettie

good thread, clint... you are so right.

"wrestling owns bjj because wrestlers will always land on top and groundnpound or laynpray and will power out of most subs"

Bustamante/Lindland
