wright vs. trinidad on soon.....

on HBO here in about an hour. dont miss it folks. i heard it was a good one

Wright/Trinidad sucked.

I heard it was a boring boxing match, go figure.

It might be fun for a while if you like seeing Trinidad get jabbed over and over again, but 36 minutes of that might be a little much for many.

Robin.

Funny how a boxing match is the best fight on TV all year (Coralles/Castillo)

Im responding to a chimp.

I got the Wright and Trinidad fight last weekend, and it did indeed suck. However, I am looking forward to Golota and Brewster and very glad that I don't have to shell out for PPV on that one! Brewster by KO.

TRJ I was referring to how many boxing matches can be boring. In every sport there are boring fights not just boxing.I have seen many boxing matches over the past half a year because my friend is a huge boxing fan and honestly I have been excited watching maybe three of them of all the ones I saw.It has it's part in combat sports but I feel a majority of a 36 minute fight being fought with jabs is boring myself sorry if you feel otherwise.

Alot of fights can be boring. You single out boxing why?

Quick question:

Would you rather see Dan Severn or Chris Byrd?

I hope you even know who Chris Byrd is...

Boxing is boring more often than MMA is boring.

That said, the best boxing matches are better than the best MMA fights.

But on average, MMA is more exciting to watch.

backs off so TRJ can go back to his trolling

Boxing has the same amount of boring fights as MMA. The problem is, some people ( Mostly from this forum I hear this from ) that are primarily ground oriented watch a technical boxing match and say it sucks. Because they dont understand the sweet science in its purest form is a work of art. Some people dont understand this, I liken it to people booing in the USA when an MMA fight goes to the ground.

Ryan G, no trolling just point of view, sorry if it bothers you ;).

I am not a big time grappler.I like to strike so I love a striking match more often than a grappling match.I was just saying with this fight it was obvisous from what I heard it was very boring adn the last few boxing PPVs have been as well so I was going with what was told.

Wright vs Trinidad boring?

Bullshit, it was a great fight, Team Winky is in full steam ahead.

These people on this forum in general saying boxing is boring, blah blah blah, when have a exciting match of boxing, they make their numbers and ppv buy rates, it's a tough brutal sport since the begining of time.  The good well known and established fighters are making the 7 figures.  Their more millionaires in boxing than in mma (when the sport started 10 years ago) When people make comments the boxing match is boring (it's cool to have a opinion), the boys are getting paid well for just punching the body and head for 10 or 12 rounds.

Look at our sport, we can kick, punch, wrestle, throw, choke and do joint locks, we have guys that paid their dues to come to Las Vegas and get paid 2k + win bonus it varies, WTF.  LHW and HW division making high as 200k in the US.

My 2 cents

I disagree. It was a terrible fight. Wright performed masterfully, and he deserves all the accolades he gets, but the fight still sucked. It was a completely one-sided fight for the entire 36 minutes with no drama and hardly any big punches landed. It was a clinic in jabbing, which didn't make for exciting boxing.

Fair enough ^...Lamon Brewster was exciting 53 sec TKO

Well, I wouldn't call that a great fight, but it was fun to watch Golota get bashed with left hooks for a minute. :)

i personally like the wright/trinidad fight

and i loved the brewster fight as well

A relentless ass whipping, thanks Brewster, he's trying to make the division more appealing to the fans.

I liked Wright v. Trinidad. Seeing someone that good just get completely dominated was exciting to me. Technical fights like that are cool to me, I guess.

anybody who could watch Winky sit there and just absolutley obliverate somebody as talented as trinidad with 1 punch from 1 arm over and over and over again is just nuts.

winky is so good its unreal. if you can beat the best in the world with your WEAK, LEAD hand then why bother taking the risk of letting the hammer fly..?

shit, if any one of us could beat the best in the world simply by doing the single most basic technique over and over and over again we'd be looked at like masters to the umm-teenth degree.

boring or not, that shit was amazing to watch.

boring or not, that shit was amazing to watch.

I agree with that.
