WSOF signs undefeated prospect Sheymon Moraes

Unbeaten in six professional fights, Team Nogueira bantamweight Sheymon Moraes has signed a deal with World Series of Fighting.

"It's official, I've signed with World Series of Fighting, the second biggest MMA promotion in the world," Moraes posted on his Facebook page on Friday. "I'm really happy with this achievement in my career and God willing I will give many joys to my family, team, fans and friends.

"I will train even harder than I trained. I'm going there to be the champion, not to be just another one. I'm going there to become the champion."

There is no word yet on Moraes' WSOF debut.

Moraes made his transition from muay thai to MMA in 2012 with a unanimous decision victory over Ricard Medeiros at Max Fight 11. Moraes went 5-0 in eight months, winning the Bitetti Combat bantamweight tournament with TKO wins over UFC veteran Pedro Nobre and Pedro Arruda on the same night.

Back to the cage in 2014 after recovering from a knee injury, the prospect needed 20 seconds to stop Felipe Alves at Nitrix Champion Fight 20 in April.
