I was driving out of the parking structure of the local Mitsuwa supermarket when the parking attendant asked me if I had heard of "Southland to Japan".

I told him that I'd never heard of it.

He replied that it was really good, so I told him that I'd look it up when I got home.

lol, yeah that's a pretty crazy thing here in Japan. I see a few of them around and they look pretty ridiculous. In fact, I was at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro last weekend and walked into an entire store dedicated to cholo wear. Stuff that even the ese's in LA don't wear unless they're 16 yrs old and just starting out.

about the women... I always tell my wife that anyone can find 'fans' here no matter what you choose to be or do.

It's also worth pointing out that there are more Hula halau in Japan than
in Hawaii and on the mainland US combined.

I might do some traveling there soon to perform with the Makaha Sons
since I just finished a 20 song CD and songbook for Japan
