WTF is ION television?

I have time warner, so I guess I'd have more luck watching the prelims broadcasting from my butt. FU DFW!

This is strictly a test run by DFW. ION Television caters to a certain demographic (age range) and can reach more households via satellite television. It does suck for those without the channel but I am sure UG'ers without ION will find a "trustworthy reliable source" to watrch the prelims.

you'd think with ESPN doing UFC in the UK they'd be able to get some sort of deal to get UFC Prelims on ESPN, or ESPN 2, or ESPN 3, or ESPN the Ocho, or something.  Hope we see that some day.  What could ESPN possibly be broadcasting that night, womens college basketball?  Lacross?  Worlds Strongest Man? Maybe one of these days.

LOL @ Dana & the UFC following in Bodog's footsteps!

You should check again OP. I have Time Warner as well and have it. Channel 170 in Austin. No HD but better than nothing. Phone Post

ESPN is a pay channel in the UK, not on the basic cable tier like it is here in the US.

It would be like UFC being on HBO here in the States.

True. I think there is something called IONSAT. Not sure if it's the same thing. I'm hoping.

Isn't this the same network (after a name-change) that used to broadcast Bodog but then stopped because too many viewers complained that MMA was not consistent with their Christian values?

What good is it if the fights aren't televised on your cable provider.

It's channel 31 on TimeWarner in NYC.
