those seem to have the least padding of any glove I've ever seen and as such are totally inappropriate for sparring. WTF?
They look almost like weight lifting gloves that I had when I played football. Only mine were Nike.
I think they are for the World Taekwondo Federation, and are only used to hit the turtle shell, not the face.
"Ummmm, you spar in MMA gloves?"
yes
THE KIRIK HAS SPOKEN, BOW DOWN TO HIS SUPERIOR KNOWLEDGE
I hear you bro! we have a private sparring session, invitation only. only people we know VERY well are invited. only people we trust to not go crazy, and control themselves at an appropriate level.
["Swamp, I just get nervous when I hear that... All I think about is amatuers going too hard and hurting their training partner!"]
Sparring with MMA gloves has been very common at the gyms (mostly in the South) I've been to over the past few years. But yeah, usually with newer folks its a good idea to test the waters first. People have different definitions of light and hard.
So the brand name is "WTF"?
those like mtg just posted rock..my friend has csi and I have the title mma training gloves. We spar full mm rules(though not 100% of course) with those and shin pads and it is great training. haven't had any injuries yet...SPROUT

The homo rainbow colors of the WTF logo is thuper
Am I the only one that thinks MMA training gloves suck. Seems that the padding is in the wrong place i.e. top of the glove instead of the punching surface.
Who called those "sparring gloves"? They are not designed for MMA sparring. The link leads to a site that identifies the product as TKD "Hand Protectors". They are not there to protect the opponent's face, because in TKD competition, they don't punch eachother in the head.
Misleading thread.
I like these for training. Extra padding like the Combat Sports, but you still have your fingers free.
Qoelet, that's why I linked the actual product page. I just thought they looked funny, didn't mention to confuse anyone.
Fairtex make nice mma sparring gloves.
