x files episode where aliens were baseball players

remember that one? awesome episode

that show was the best when they inserted their comic relief which was all too rare

That must be the one episode I havent seen.

And when Mulder didn't act like some sort of asexual weirdo. Conspiratards want to get laid too.

Did it have something to do with the Negro Leagues? I think I remember it

I watched the whole series last year and I thought that I would be into the mythology episodes. Those didn't hold up after the first few seasons. The standalone episodes were good to great all the way until the end and have held up very well.

The series centers on FBI special agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) who work on cases linked to theparanormal, called "X-Files". Mulder is a believer in the abnormal; while, the skeptical Scully was initially assigned to debunk his work, the two have developed a deep friendship. In this episode, Arthur Dales (M. Emmet Walsh), the brother of a previously recurring retired FBI agent with the same name, tells Mulder the story of a black baseball player who played for the Roswell Grays in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 under the pseudonym "Josh Exley" (Jesse L. Martin). Exley was actually an alien with a love of baseball. Exley is later tracked down by the Alien Bounty Hunter (Brian Thompson) and executed for betraying his people.

I never really got into it too much, but I would catch an episode here and there. My favorites were "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man" and the one about the satanic cult operating at a school.

Best episode was "Home".

Murderous inbred mutants that occasionally rape their amputee mom that they keep under a bed strapped to a wooden board.

Now that is quality television. Phone Post 3.0

yeah they chose the negro leagues so they could play on the down low

the stand alone epi's were great, the show overall storyline became convuluted and suffered from horrendous writing towards the end

gillian anderson really grew on me too towards the end too, in that sexy-smart way
