Hi guys
Here's a link to an online video tutorial about the X Guard position. I don't know how long I'll leave it up for, so check it out - I've received a ton of good feedback about this video.

I love everything you post on this forum and look forward to a new thread/post/video from you every time I log on. I really enjoyed your Half Guard DVD aswell, very concise and mapped the position out greatly for me. This video is no exception, another great piece, fantastic details. I made a thread asking questions on this position not too long ago, this has cleared up some of my issues.
That said, all this "limited slots" and "I don't know how long I'll leave it up for" Lloyd Irvine type marketing isn't congruent with your personality. Trying to add value to something by making it limited isn't needed, your products speak for themselves. Guys appreciate good learning material and well taught Jiu Jitsu, that's the most important thing here.
Thanks again for the post, no disrespect is intended with this post.
Triple X - no disrespect taken. The reason I'm limiting slots is very simple.
The first time I released the course I had a ton of people sign up, which was great for business of course, but it really added to the tremendous amount of creative, administrative and technical work that was required to produce the material and operate the course in the first place. I don't like to farm out my customer support to virtual assistants, so I was working 60 to 70 weeks for six months straight. The ironic downside of success was that my own training really suffered. And, even worse, it became really difficult to spend time with friends and family.
It's all a grand experiment to find work-life-play balance. I think is my finest instructional product and I want to have the freedom to keep improving it as we go along, so this time around I'm seeing whether limiting registration helps make offering it more sustainable for me in the long run.
I'll gracefully shut the hell up and hope you accept my sincere apologies ;)
Don't worry about it. I've been on the forums for a long time (anyone remember 'exjudoka' - that was me), and that's the most respectful disrespect I think I've ever received!
...and I've just gone live with the Grappling Concepts Course! Here's a link with more information about it: www.grapplearts.tv

I've tried to buy it, but the link must be broken or you've sold out already or whatnot... PLEASE open it back up. I've struggled to try and teach "principles" off bjj over just positions/submissions/memorization, etc., but your product looked to be the wheel I am, apparently, trying to re-invent. I'm lazy. I want yours...
Hmmm, I don't know what's wrong. It's not quite sold out, and it's working for me and lots of other people. Maybe several other people were buying at the same time as you tried to click...
Let's try this. Here are the 'unadorned' links. Just cut and paste them into your browser window:

Tell me if that works, OK?

I actually subscribed under two emails; I tried the link on the "other" email and it worked. Proud subscriber.
I gotta chip in and give this course a mighty two thumbs up. I just recently completed the six months and it really gave my game a boost. It is probably led to me making the most dramatic improvements in my game over a six month period that I have ever had, despite having to deal in the same period with illness, a recurring back injury and more work travel than I care to think about.
I was a little concerned that the course was going to be too basic for me, but that worry evaporated after a few weeks. The cumulative effect of getting a weekly seminar on the principals that make bjj work was impressive. The format of the course - taking one concept a week and picking apart how you can apply it to dozens of different aspects of bjj is very different from traditional bjj instruction. It was a great complement to my regular training (under a black belt) - I felt like I was getting the "other half" of the story that I never get from instruction in individual techniques.
Great stuff. Well worth the time.
