You want to see Chuck fight?!? EXPLAIN WHY...

Why do YOU want to see Chuck Liddell fight again?

My only wish is that Sakuraba had a friend like Dana White...

Is it because you still think he has a chance at competing with the top guys at 205?

You want to see him as a gatekeeper?!

Do you think he should get one last payday?

You just want to see him in there win, lose, or draw?

If you think Dana is wrong, why do you want Chuck to fight. Just because it's his decision to?

I think he's an exciting fighter,s till has a chance against anyone and if he wants to fight he should be able to do so.

Dana is wrong in his tyranny and he's not acting like much of friend by attacking people Chuck is very loyal to. If I am your friend I am not going to just start insulting the shit out of your other friends because we disagree, it makes you look bad and me as well.

Although I don't like the way Dana has gone about it...(ie.,the post Shogun fight press conference). I think Chuck needs to have a guy that just flat out tells him no.

Hackleman CAN make more money off of Chuck than Dana White needs to...

I think its up to the fighter to determine when they should retire.  Not the promoters OR the fans.

I'd watch Chuck fight again against the right opponent.  Of course.  Chuck is a legend.  One of the best the sport has ever seen.  I'd love to see Chuck fight Rogerio, or Vitor again, or all kinds of opponents.

If the commission-appointed doctors clear him, who the hell am I or the promoters to say he can't fight.

As a total aside-  You would have rather have never seen Kazushi Sakuraba again after he slid than have him fight?  Why don't you just not watch the fights?  Why would you wish away something like Sakuraba/Smirnovas, one of the greatest comebacks in the history of MMA?

I honestly want what is best for the fighter. If Chuck wants to fight that they should let Chuck fight. Wandy wanted a rematch against Chuck so if Chuck wants to fight again, let him rematch Wandy. As a President trying to help bring MMA into mainstream still & making MMA into a sport, Dana needs to just step out of the limelight & realize that this isn't about Dana White, this is about Chuck Liddell. I support Chuck no matter what choice he makes.

Herring In A Fur Coat -  As a huge Liddell fan, I don't want to see him fight ever again.

I don't think anyone honestly wants to see him fight, people just want to be contrary to anything Dana says.

This Exactly.

 chuck can still win

 I have an idea:

If you don't want to see Chuck fight, turn off your TV.  Or don't buy the show.

Who are all of you to tell him he can't fight and tell fans they can't watch it?

this is like the abortion issue...it's Chuck's choice and not Blaf's....period.....periods......................

Not at all, I have been with Dana on almost every issue popular or not. He is looking bad here.

i don't necessarily want to see him fight. but it pisses me off that its a promoters decision and not his

What a ridiculous thing to say.

Did you not want to see Randy fight ever again after he got blasted at HW twice?  How about when he got blasted by Chuck twice?

Chuck is a superstar and has only lost to the best of the best, is it that hard to believe that maybe some want to see him come back with a vintage KO win?

Because Chuck has the right to choose whether he's done or not.

I understand, and Respect why Dana wants him to retire, but....

Let HIM choose.

If he wants to fight a lower tier fighter, and go out w/ a win, then let him.

If not, great. He'll never have to worry about employment again.

Dana doesn't have to go out insulting the man's trainer to prove his point.

At the same time, Dana makes a great point. Chuck DOESN'T have to fight anymore. He's a Legend, and has solidified his place in UFC History.

I see both sides, but in the end, if Dana "loves Chuck", and I know he does, let him go out on his own. Let him make the dec. (w/out any influences).

But, if he puts Chuck against an upper tier fighter, then I will see Dana trying to prove his point.

Id love to see the Iceman a couple more times but not against the top 5 guys. Chuck is still a legit top ten guy but the top 5-6 guys he just cant hang with at 39 years old but look at his losses rampage, rashad (current LHW champ), a 1-point bs desicion against jardine, and shogun former top LHW.

He just needs to fight Mark Coleman, Chael Sonnen, Vera, and I still say before he's done there needs to be a Forrest fight because Forrest doesnt have the knockout power and itd be a huge payday and exciting fight.

I think part of it is just that people want to see him win.

they want to see him go out on a win.

it's like the "just one more time" theory that keeps going.

also part of it is that...

the rampage fight, nothing much happened, then he ate the right hook.

the jardine fight was really close, it just seemed that jardine never ate that last shot that put him away or didn't drop when he did catch a good one.

then you have the wanderlei fight which was great and he won.

then the rashad fight, he was doing well in the fight, was winning the fight, rashad didn't do much and then chuck caught a bomb that would've dropped anyone.

then the shogun fight was similar although the shot that dropped him would not have dropped him a couple years ago.

I think people just feel like he can still win because he hasn't had a thorough ass kicking throughout the entire fight. the fight he lost to couture and the first fight with rampage were worse than any of his recent losses as far as being dominated in the fight.

the problem is that he seems to have lost his ability to take a hard shot and his reflexes are shot. punches that used to be a glancing blow are now putting him down, and that's where you run into trouble as far as brain damage and permanent long-lasting effects.

personally I would like to see him go out on a win but it would be so much worse if he fought a lesser opponent and still got KO'd or TKO'd. and the next hard shot could be the last straw that causes serious damage.

I dont.. he's done. Rashad retired him

Better than watching the next random TUFer lay on his opponent for 3 rounds. Too bad they don't let Chuck beat up on some young pups.

 One word:

Romoshoportunities.

yeah Favre can come back if he wants right...yeah that's what i thought. when the skills go, and they're gone folks, they don't come back maybe he could try to take fights to the ground and reinvent himself... but he's 40yrs old. hes only going to get worse, not better in combat sports sometimes you have to save guys from themselves.
