not the stories about the various gracies and brazilians that everyone knows...unless of course you personally werre present
im sure some of you olderl guys have some "old school" moments during your TMA days...maybe even boxing and wrestling stories that involve some sort of "dojo storm" or gym challenge, or beef with rival schools (outside of sanctioned fights), or any general old school bad ass martial art experience
the closest i have was when a 7th grader from the tae kwon do school across the street from my karate school fought dirty and threw a late head shot to one of our guys in a local tourney
the tae kwon do guy's instructor punished him by sending him over to our school for a couple of weeks to wash our mats and sweep
I can't think of any actual "Dojo Storming" that went on that I can remember, as each dojo held tournys every few months and invited each other, but there was a pretty good feud/rival between about 5 dojo's in Bakersfield, CA back in the late 70's early 80's.
Between the Karate tournys and the full contact (kickboxing) events held it got intense at times, but no badassery to speak of, just good ole fun fighting and competing against each other.
Even though we all seem to dislike each others school, it all came out clean when the fighting started
I worked out at a KenPo school in San Diego that was next to a bar. Drunks would pop by every weekend and look to scrap. The 3 top black belts were also golden glove boxers and would have the drunks sign the waiver and have at it.
A Kung Fu instructor here in Akron, who I think has retired, used to encourage his senior students to test their skills in bar fights. They did pretty well, by all accounts, but that school was known for insane physical conditioning - holding stances with granite bricks in each hand for 10+ minutes etc; I think they were more conditioned than skilled.
Dojo stormed a shit talking ninjitsu instructor. Took him down and slapped him into submission gracie in action style. Got dojo stormed by a wing chun guy and ten of his dorks. Knocked him out with a headkick that saw him fly into a padded corner post. He woke up and wanted to go again a while later. We ended up clinching, he tried to eye gouge me so i slammed him hard and knocked him out with punches. Half of his students joined the class the following week.

Not quite a dojo storm, but I used to run a gym for a short while and teach BJJ, I was a blue and teaching untili found some browns to teach....so every student was straight up new.
Anyway after about 6 months or a year, new kid comes in, total white trash, definitely mental issues, just wanted to fight, etc. He was kind of rough with the guys in class and only 17 years old. Wrestled in school though.
Finally time to spar, I have a guy who previously trained go with him and tell him to go hard and calm this kid down lol. Omfg this young kid started kicking ass! Spinning flying kicks, back fists, throwing everything you can think of, complete crap form but I gotta give it to him he tried and put it all out there lolololol.
So of course eventually I had to go in and show him what's up, gave him a few shots and chokes, kid was actually appreciative, just retarded. Was glad he was gonna train.
Two weeks later he drove a nail through a turtle and set it on fire. Feel bad bc someone messed that boy up bad.
