YYZ Without the Drums (I Sh*t You Not)...

Imagine meatball soup without the meatballs.

A Big Mac without the all beef patty.

Smores without the marshmallows.

Pretty funny. But the guitar and bass tones are sweet.

Shows you just how much Neal Peart adds to the mix with his dynamic drumming...

Damn I've been playing some of those notes wrong rhythmically for all these years on the guitar (now that I can hear it without drums).

Sounds good to me without drums though.

Peart is arguable the greatest rock drummer of all time, so it's not surprising how much he added to the song. And add to that that Geddy Lee is in the conversation of best all time rock bass players...no surprise at Rush's success.

The funny thing is, if Alex Lifeson was in any other band he'd be talked about as one of the great guitarists but since he's surrounded by Lee and Peart he always gets overlooked.

one of the worst bands ever. god i fucking hate them

Resisting the urge to air drum is futile, lol.

While I'm not a big Rush fan, I agree that he gets short changed being surrounded by such talented musicians

Rush is like Steely Dan to me. I recognize their technical skill is very high. But at same time I don't want to listen to their music.
