Zhumagulov retires over BS split decision loss

Kazakhstani Zhalgas Zhumagulov announced his retirement after losing to American Charles Johnson at UFC Vegas 65. The fight lasted all three rounds and ended with Johnson’s victory by a split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

“Greetings everyone! Everyone saw the fight, what can I say? There is nothing to say. This was my last fight. Thanks to everyone who cheered for me. I don’t want to fight anymore. I’ve been fighting for some time, but the judges won’t give me back. I’m tired. I plow and plow, I invest. Now I’m not speaking on emotions, I’m telling it like it is. Thanks to everyone who cheered for me. I hug you like a brother,” Zhumagulov said.

The judges love screwing over Russian speaking fighters

I saw the fight. I also had Johnson winning. The Russian was exhausted and literally ran almost the whole 3rd round

Well he actually lost that fight so he can shut up

I thought he won. He was scrappy. Ah well.

I had Charles winning but it was pretty close. Nothing to retire over

He just had a couple of split decisions before and all we ruled losses for him. Even statistically this is improbable. No way he really lost all of these fights.

He lost all 3 because he fades in the 3rd round. Bad look for the judges

He won the first 2 rounds.
But in 3 round fights judges usually give the second round to who didn’t win the first unless it’s total domination.

He got robbed 3 times in his last few fights.

I’ve seen his fights but don’t remember them. I’m sure they were all close but since he doesn’t seem to have the skill to finish and his fights aren’t super memorable, I’m not gonna cry if he retires, good luck to him.

Wow that’s a bummer
