This stuff sound interesting keen to give it a try as my sleep is fucked.
Anyone tried it?
it works for me. i know some people are going to come on here and claim that its bullshit, but it works for me. and i am EXTREMELY skeptical, and not a big supplement person at all...in fact i only take zinc, magnesium, vitamin d and use plain whey protein after workouts...no creatine, no preworkout mixes, no multivitamins, no greens powders, etc.
zma is the only thing i have ever tried that produces a noticeable effect. it gives me noticeably deeper sleep and more regular dreams. personally i dont buy zma anymore but rather just buy chelated zinc and magnesium separately and take 40mg zinc and 400mg magnesium every night. pretty sure its just the magnesium which is responsible for the better sleep, but zinc is good for male health in general so i take it too.
melatonin, 5-HTP (if you do this make sure to take> l-tyrosine in the morning.
I consume enough zinc and magnesium in my diet so I never saw a noticeable effect from ZMA. sort of like turducken.
ZMA makes me wake up at 3:30 in the morning, wide awake, and unable to return to sleep.
Not sure why.
on teh bottle of ZMA they say to take on an emplty stomach be fore bed. Now I train till 8pm then eat. In bed by 9:30 or 10pm.
Can you take ZMA right after working out. Would there be a disadvantage to this?
In
Made my normally good sleep sporadic and gave me the shits.
Buy each ingredient separately as a chelated mineral so as to increase absorption. Add selenium to the mix as well... ive been doing this for a few weeks and have had improved sleep and boners.

This! I just started taking ZMA and will probably stop thanks to this side-effect.
I'll probably try a different supplement with 5-HTP, melatonin and sam-e.

Melatonin used to do me the same way, then I found out that you only need to take 1 mg.
Most sleep aids with melatonin have from 3 to 6 mg. or more in them, I found one {Name Mid Nite} that only has 1 1/2 mg. so I break it in half.
Now I have no trouble going to and staying asleep, and I don't have all the crazy ass dreams that I was having when I was taking 6 mg. melatonin every night.
Hope all that makes since.
I've found that more zinc = wake up at 3am.
Cut the zinc dose in half and you should be ok.

i guess this goes to show that everyone reacts differently. when i take zinc + magnesium at night, i sleep like a rock. i mean total blackout sleep until the moment i wake up.
Wait it's used as a sleep aid?
I always thought it was used to promote test production
