2 quick points in aftermath of Chuck/Rashad

  1. Chuck should stop throwing uppercuts without setting them up. He gets caught.

    2. Does this validate Tito's ranking/standing a little as he has reasonably recent wins over Rashad (he clearly won the fight) and Forrest (Current LHW champ)?

Nothing too revolutionary here but would be interested in feedback and not flames.

no it makes tito look worse, he had 2 fights to do that to chuck and couldnt even come close

Sometimes you get weird style match ups. Chuck just has Tito's number. Basically if you go balls out to take Chuck down he'll probably spark you. I think Tito would beat Rashad and Forrest again personally. Opinion from FUTA1 if your about?

Styles make fights and Tito seems to have a mental block when it comes to getting in the cage with Chuck.

You're right when you say that styles make fights. It's not a "mental block" that prevents Tito from doing well against Chuck, it's his style. Tito was unable to take Chuck down and ground and pound him (which is Tito's game) and Tito's stand-up wasn't/isn't good enough for Chuck.

Rashad's style is similar to Chuck's in that he's a wrestler who uses his wrestling to avoid being taken down. I know this is a popular thing to say right now, but seriously, Rashad's stand-up is not to be overlooked.

Tito didn't win that fight with Rashad. He cheated to avoid a loss. If he hadn't been grabbing the fence, he would have been on his back from Round 1 on.

Rashad has WAY more power than Tito. If you're not a danger standing, you can forget taking Chuck down.

Tito is still a good fighter (Top 10 IMO) and would beat quite a few fighters, including Wand and Shogun.

I don't tito wants to fight Rashad or Forrest, he's to busy looking to fight washed up fighters like shamrock that he knows he can beat.

Props for guys like Rashad and Forrest who test the top dogs to prove who's real and who's fake. Lets to tito/ shamrock4?

Let me repeat that for people:

STYLES MAKE FIGHTS

But i do think as well that Forrest and Rashad are better now because they've improved since Tito but that Tito is just underated right now.

Still, Tito got dominated to a tee vs Machida.

Greg Jackson's team has had fantastic strategies again Chuck. They have beat him at his own game (standup) and it seems to me that as long as you aren't tagged by one of his super-powerful loopy punches or in Tito's case a flurry of punches he is beatable.

first thing i thought after the fight is " they have to sign tito for rashad tito II".....

Forrest and Rashad are both evolving and Tito isnt.

Tito was offered a rematch with Forrest, Rashad or Jardine after he beat Forrest and he picked Rashad. This is documented everywhere look it up.

Tito wanted the rematch with Rashad.

I agree with Wasa-B. At the same time, Tito actually came close to putting Machida in danger which is something no one has really done in the UFC so far.

What are you talking about? Tito fought Rashad WAY after he fought Forrest. When Tito had beaten Forrest, Rashad wasn't even a thought because they had NEVER fought before. Tito fought Rashad 3 fights after Ortiz/Griffin. Are you drunk or something?

"Tito wanted the rematch with Rashad."

Hahahahahahaha!

Will see what Machida has to say about that.  KIYA!!!

Ortiz is still relevant. Personal issures aside I hope he and the UFC come to a compromise. Some veruy interesting match ups. Tito sells tickets. Plaina and simple!
