A little Muaythai video from my training footage

Here's a little video I put together from my 2011 trip to Thailand. I am not a videographer, so it's not perfect. However, I hope you enjoy it.

John

What camp was this at, and what's the deal with the rooster?

Cool, vid. Well done.

Saengmorakot Gym in BKK.

Fighting Rooster's are very common in gyms in Thailand.

Ah, ok... I wasn't sure if it was a fighting rooster or not because it just shows the guy holding it.

Pinsiam is a beast!!

great vid thanks

Pinsiam is an absolute monster on pads. Over the past 5 years, I've never seen another Thai outwork him, and he's no spring chicken anymore.

Don was the pad holder grabbing the fighting rooster. I caught this right before he went to give it a bath. He heated up a stone and put a wet rag on it, then gave the rooster a hot bath.

The owner of the gym lets them keep them there, but when the trainers start giving more attention to the roosters than the fighters, he makes them send the roosters back up to Isaan.

Great video.  How long were you out there and how did you find the experience?

Thanks! At this gym I was there 2.5 months in 2010, and two weeks in 2011. Heading back for another month in February. Great gym and really great experience overall.

I met some guys from NJMT at Actionzone sports shop on Sukhumvit back in April. There were training at that gym. Phone Post

haha, You always run into our guys throughout Thailand. I remember you posted a picture of some fighters at Sinbi on here and I was looking in the background and saw my training mate Jude.

Yeah, that was probably John. He winded up leaving and going to Sitsongpeenong. Sangmorakot was empty because of the holiday and he wanted a little bit more at that time. But overall it's a good gym.
