It's crazy. Pico is a 10th grader. Retherford just finished his true freshman year, during which he beat Logan Steiber.

I thought it would be a closer match. Like Pico, Retherford is a former cadet world champ. So it was a great win.
I think Pico's upcoming match with Tsirtsis will be a better test of where he's at. Pico relies a lot on pressure and snapdowns. Tsirtsis just won an NCAA title at 149, so he'll be a big 143 pounder. Meanwhile, Retherford wrestled for PSU at 141. So Tsirtsis will be a bigger and presumably more powerful opponent than Retherford was. Tsirtsis also beat Retherford last summer.

I'm surprised Gavin beat Foster. After Foster beat Aldatov I thought he was really his stride.
And I still think Burroughs is a notch above both Dake and Taylor. Even so, it's a shame they can't all be at different weight classes.

Beat the Streets will be a one-off event, I believe. No connection to other tournaments. Just two marquee guys going at it.
