Listening to Craig on Lex Fridman this week his moves have made ADCC step up to the plate in ways they havenā€™t previously. Like show $, having kids compete who most likely never would have had the shot to compete previously and now the free streaming.

Nice, the only problem I have so far with CJI is how long it was and how late it went yesterday, and the name CJI, somehow I feel his name in the title limits the whole thing but maybe thats just nonsense.

Hard to avoid it being so long since they had to do 24 matches and they donā€™t run concurrent matches like ADCC. I would have started the event a bit earlier to avoid how late it ended. Today will be a much shorter day though with just 8 matches

There was a lot of time with the commentators breaking down the last fight and the camera on them. I bet at least an hour of that was the broadcast team talking

I do commentary for an MMA show that has 20+ fights on cards often, you just have to immediately move from one match to the next.

I think it got a bit better as the night went on, but yeah they could have done without the commentary in between matches. Either way, for such a large production and it being their first show, itā€™s gone off mostly without a hitch so far.

So many on paper upsets but the talent pool is really weakened significantly with CJI poaching everyone. Only the 66 kg will have itā€™s normal talent.
