Might have been a bad tactical decision from Tye to wrestle Nolf instead of just pulling guard, conserving energy for the next round. That tough match might have played a role in whatever injury he ended up sustaining.

Finally saw where Tye injured what looked like his knee. At about 1 min into the match when he dropped for the toe hold and Levi was rolling to defend, you can see Tyeâs right knee kind of twist and he yells in pain but the mics didnât pick it up.
Fast forward to 8:20:20 on the Stream to see it.

ADCC so far just feels boring and low energy compared to CJI

CJI ruleset isnât perfect but with the rampâs and the 3 round scoring system it makes for a tad more action.
Day 1 of the CJI was really amazing. After following mma and peripherally following grappling for a long time, this is the first ever event of its kind as follows:
- High level competitors
- legit prize money for the 2 winners
- free and easy to watch live
- tournament format
I would watch anything free with high level competitors, the prize money and tournament formats are just bonuses for the watching audience, but free and high level with a tournament format is killer stuff. Pretty good ruleset too. Fuck yeah. I will be at a live show tonight so will watch tonightâs action free on delay. Another awesome option to just click the youtube link after the fact with no spoilers in the title or thumbnail (olympics got this all wrong).

100% spot on with the Olympics. Stream it free worldwide on YT. Youâre going to kill it in ad revenue and expose more people to sports we never watch.

The resets are just annoying, you have guys purposely stay close to the edges of the mat so they can just get out of bounds to avoid takedowns. Thatâs in addition to the first 5 minutes with no points so guys donât even waste their energy on takedowns and you get a bunch of half assed stand up for the first 5 minutes. There was just a lot less stalling in CJI.
