Alexa Grasso is the former UFC flyweight champion of the world. She went 1-1-1 with the greatest Valentina Shevchenko. In my opinion that matchup isn’t done just yet. Alexa deserves one more shot at Valentina so long as she’s champion.
Alexa Grasso is tough, she has so much heart. She loves a real fight where both fighters stand in front of each other and trade. Alexa if out matched standing up can take her opponent down and submit them. We saw that in the first Shevchenko fight.
Natalia Silva is one of the flyweights that were obviously gifted. She’s also undefeated in the division. That is something that can easily be taken but for now she has it. She’s a taekwondo practitioner with incredibly dexterous legs. She has the ability to bounce around and land the shots she wants. She’s great but she’s taking on the toughest opponent of her career.
Alexa Grasso got the title shot because she deserved it. She wasn’t undefeated in the division but she proved she was ready for the challenge. When Grasso got there the rest was history she face cranked Shevchenko and actually made her quit. Grasso has beaten the greatest but in order to get there again she needs to take out Silva.
