Aljo continues to make things difficult with the UFC

he knows for a fact that the UFC top brass is not entirely satisfied with him. he lost the belt and they are likely quite glad. complaining about his last ppv bonus as champion would not go unnoticed…

well, here he is ‘not complaining’ about the bonus, claims to be grateful, just saying he thought it would be much more(!) - and taking a quick shit on the new champ’s star power.

fun that he then laments his own decision-making in the fight, while suggesting he is close to a title shot at FW. the UFC will not be rushing forward to offer him that imo.

im a tad gutted to watch him shoot himself in the foot. he was so gracious in defeat he made a fan out of me. I’d love to see him do well and get another shot, but I’d be amazed if he managed to avoid the full Joe Silva treatment.

I don’t have a problem with what he said.

SO’M is not a star. I’ve been saying it for a year now

The gay hair has been done before

The weed smoking persona has been done before

My gen z cousins who don’t watch mma know who Nate diaz and Conor McTapper are. They do not know who SO’M is at all

while those Fat Cats at Alta count their exorbitant profits, they’ve foolishly left me with free reign to spew my hate-filled bile.

Not really no but it’s also fucking hilarious.

He was the champion. He’s talking shit on the PPV saying O’Clowney doesn’t sell while seemingly not realizing he is shitting on his own popularity as a champion and star power.

Too funny.

“This guy doesn’t sell for shit! Sure I was there too but people were supposed to pay to see the other guy!”

Makes a lot more sense when you see them each with their shorts off…

Yeah me either. It’s a pretty honest assessment of himself and the fight. If we read the whole thing, it doesn’t sound like he’s making excuses to me.

If he was disappointed with his PPV pay, I wonder how many buys it had.

Well he’s alluding to the fact that Sean has made himself out to be a big star, and hyped himself up more than possibly any other fighter. And the money Aljo got didn’t match that. I’m sure it did decent numbers but Aljo bought into the hype. Aljo wasn’t the one claiming he was some superstar. FWIW I’m a fan of both guys.

please bear in mind, i am not saying i have a problem with what he said, just pointing out that Dana will do. if it turns out that either you or homerun are his paymaster, that would be a great relief.

I definitely understand what he saying and what he’s getting at and he’s right 100%.

But there are things you don’t say out loud when you’re trying to put someone down when it also doesn’t show you in the best light.

But if he’s self aware and knows he’s not a huge draw and doesn’t care then I suppose it doesn’t matter. Still putting down the guy who claimed he was while not hurting yourself who never pretended to be.

A tweet from him yesterday. 800 likes. Lol

He knows what he’s saying. He never claimed to be popular and have star power.
