With all the politics, boycotting and lack of information, I've had trouble finding out about the different different bjj and submission grappling events that go on in Australia.
I find that even sites not associated with any events will only show dates for certain events and disregard others.
I have had an idea to get a page up with an easy url, www.auscomps.com or something along those lines up that simply has a calendar that shows all the dates for bjj, submission grappling, wrestling, judo, mma, pankration events and competitions that happen in Australia throughout each year.
Id like to have each comps rules and contact details to websites about the sign up deadlines and who runs them etc.
I want there to be one site that has all the competitions big and small, from some small grappling comp in qld to the the pan pacs in melb and even anthony and elvises attempt at a competition in sydney. =P
I recall hearing "we're not going to that comp... or... that comp was cancelled, etc etc"
This site will have direct contact with the organisers and promoters and itll be 100% objective with no politics and no stupid games. So that the sport can grow and everyone can know whats going on and compete in what they want to compete in.

There is a Questions/Comments bit on the same which allows people to drop me a line etc... you can see how often that has been used.
As for people posting rules etc, despite my requests for the same they typically haven't been forthcomming... I guess most Clubs/Associations have enough trouble managing themselves day-to-day let alone planning a week or three in advance.
Mostly I add things when I see them advertised here and towards the beginning of each year I usually check out the big Judo and BJJ associations for their competitions and update OzGrapple accordingly.
oh awesome stuff... well i have been on the net for a while, i guess i just jumped to conclusions when i couldnt find anything... or i didnt look hard enough.
Maybe i should have started with asking if there is a site like that already! =P

Its not political, has an easy to access events page and u can see on the calender the upcoming events. We will have pics from all VIC and NSW ones comming up being posted along with results.
