Today Keith Kizer, excecutive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission notified The Underground by e-mail that all fighters were tested, and tested negative, for banned substances for UFC 148.

UFC 148 took place Saturday, July 7th, and was headlined by Chael Sonnen vs. Anderson Silva. Silva was victorious in his 10th consecutive title defense, stopping Sonnen in the second round by TKO.

The news is especially important because in their first meeting Sonnen tested positive for an high testosterone to epitestorone ratio, which is indicative of steroid use. That bout took place in 2010, with the same result, Silva defeating Sonnen, but in the last round with a submission.

Also of note is that all fighters on the card were tested, not just a random sampling.

Kizer: "All drug tests for 148 come back clean"

;o)

Agreed with the assertion that, "the opposite is true". They are all jacked on steroids without a doubt. But, what do you do about it ? Nothing It appears. On the one hand, almost all are beating the tests. On the other, well..obviously the UFC wants them to beat the test, so they can declare the fighters clean. That's all that counts. To be able to say the fighters tested negative, and are clean. Will the UFC take over in some capaxity the testing ? So as not to have fights cancelled ? Why are the tests done after the fights now ( or rather the results released ) ? Secure the cash then let the chips fall where they may. A fighters life and health is at stake here. The clean fighters have repeatedly asserted this. They could be killed because of the juice in the other corner. Dos Santos does not want a part of Over Reem because Reems jacked on juice, for example. He has to if Reem tests negative. Means jack shit to Dos Santos, because the chances are next time around Reem will make sure he beats the test. Is the UFC culpable in the event someone gets killed, because, people are beating the test, or, the results are released after the fight happens like in the case of Ortiz, and Griffin ?

I watch the fights on big HD screen, and the fighters steroid induced acne is kind of gruesome in some cases don't you think ? The skull deformities are amusing. Especially Tito Ortiz whose skull seems to morph one year to the next into something new, you never know who he is going to be. Peeps dropping left and right from Roids and the kids at the gym laugh, and just keep jackin juice. I swear they think the acne is kool, or they flaunt it like its something good. Little morphed, weird looking muscle on teenagers.LOL. But alas, the juice didn't hurt baseball. It was just something you learned to live with. It didn't hurt, and probably enhanced Wrestling. So, what do you do ? Nothing. Part of life, and sport now. Until someone can come up with a 100 percent bonafide testing procedure. Where we're at, your looking at implementing legalizing steroids. It's a no-brainer. I don't like it but, it's where we're at.
